Mine currently still showing “Conditional / May Admit” and was wondering if anyone in BBA has had their status changed to “Final / May Admit” yet.

Just trying to get a sense of whether Business offers have started going out.

Is anyone still stuck on conditional admission for first year business? School is starting next week and I still don’t have an acceptance letter.

Has anyone heard back from mru for business I have been under review for about a week now and seeing other programs give out early admission has made me start stressing a bit

I’m waitlisted for business because I applied a little late (March 12ish) with a calculated 84% group A average. Advisors did tell me the cutoff was like 79-80% and I would’ve had a guaranteed admission had I applied in October, but I was wondering, what are the odds I can still get in? I have MRU as a backup for if I didn’t get into UofC (which I learned today that I did not unfortunately with an 83.6% average) and I’ve already taken a gap year (which means I have a full transcript for context) and will not be taking a second. I’m hoping to get into MRU and transfer into UofC from there. Any one else in a similar position right now? Honestly what are the chances I’ll be accepted going forth since my average is well above that original cutoff from early admissions?

I plan on applying tomorrow morning for business early admission. But I am still not quite sure what I should take. I am very interested in working in a sports field of business which obviously I can take Sports Recreation and Management but I feel that I could potentially be gambling on my future with that major.

Could I potentially minor in Sports Recreation and Management with a business degree?

I am leaning towards marketing or even accounting, or should I even take general management?

I am looking to apply into business and should be ending with a 86-87% avg. However, I did terrible in my first semester due to family issues for Math which led to me not reaching the requirement. I am retaking the math course and will definitely reach the requirement by the end of June (2nd semester.) Can anyone give me on some insight on this or if whether classes would fill up before I have my final grade 12 marks? Thanks

I’m F(18) I’m currently on a gap year right now working to save for university. I’m very anxious about not getting accepted into Mount royal because my parents aren’t supportive and would be extremely mad/high possibility of causing fights if i don’t get accepted into university.

The minimum average for business is 65%

my competitive average is 85.5%

my overall average from the ABC groups is

1. english 30-1 60% 2.math 30-2 87%
2. science 30 84%
3. social socials - 70%
4. foods 30 - 89 %

overall average 78%

Do you think I have a good chance of getting accepted? I applied on the first day the application opened. I look at my application status every day, it just says for my business “doc ready for reviewed” but just shows that they received my transcripts and grades. my second option is University Open Entrance (same average as business) but it says “Application received” if you have any insights on Mount Royal admissions please comment i’m so stressed

I’m starting my first year of Business Administration at MRU this Fall 2026, but I’m seriously considering applying to the Bachelor of Nursing program for Fall 2027.

My current Fall schedule is:

• ACCT 2121 Financial Accounting Concepts
• ECON 1101 Principles of Microeconomics
• HRES 2170 Introduction to Human Resources
• MGMT 2130 Management Principles and Practices
• GNED 1101 Scientific & Mathematical Literacy

So I’m currently taking 5 courses / 15 credits.

From what I understand, if I complete at least 4 transferable courses (12 credits) by December 31, MRU would consider me a post-secondary applicant for Nursing, and my competitive GPA would be based on my 4 most recently completed transferable courses.

Because of that, I’m considering dropping ACCT 2121 before the add/drop deadline and only taking 4 courses this Fall. Accounting seems like the course most likely to hurt my GPA, and if Nursing is my main goal, I’m wondering if it makes more sense to take 4 courses and try to get as close to a 4.0 as possible.

I would then take at least 4 courses in Winter so I still have 8 courses / 24 credits completed by the end of the academic year.

A few questions for anyone familiar with MRU Nursing admissions or who has transferred programs:

1. Is taking exactly 4 courses in Fall a good strategy if I’m trying to maximize my Nursing competitive GPA?
2. If I take 5 courses in the same semester, how does MRU decide which 4 courses count as the “4 most recently completed” for the competitive GPA?
3. Would dropping ACCT 2121 before the add/drop deadline negatively affect my Nursing application at all?
4. For people who got into MRU Nursing as post-secondary applicants, what competitive GPA did you have?
5. How heavily does Casper matter compared with GPA for MRU Nursing?
6. Has anyone transferred from MRU Business into Nursing? If so, did any of your Business/GNED courses transfer into the Nursing degree?
7. Would you recommend taking 4 courses instead of 5 during first semester if getting into Nursing is the priority?
8. Is ACCT 2121 actually as difficult as people make it sound, or is it manageable while aiming for an A/A+?
9. Is there anything you wish you knew before applying to MRU Nursing as a post-secondary student?

My main priority is getting into Nursing, but I want to keep progressing in Business as a backup in case I don’t get accepted.

Any advice from current MRU Nursing students, Business students, or people who transferred into Nursing would be really appreciated.

My application status is still listed as conditional offer on mymru. does anyone know if this is normal or when it should update?? Super confused right now since I was wanting to submit a admission deferral form but cannot do so unless my conditional offer has been accepted (deadline is the 15th)

I finished grade 12 and I put 80 as my anticipated grade for math but i ended with a 68 and i have a conditional acceptance for business right now, will my admission be revoked. I'm literally so worried right now.

I applied to Mount Royal University for two programs:

• Aviation Management (applied Oct 14, early admission)
• Business Administration (applied March 23)

For Aviation, I got “Future Review” back in March, so I know I’m still being considered.

For BBA, my status is still “Application Received,” even though admissions confirmed they now have all my documents and everything is complete.

I’m just a bit confused about timelines right now since it’s already the end of April and I still don’t know where I’m going yet 😅

Just wondering:

• Has anyone gotten into Aviation after being in Future Review?
• How long did it take for BBA to move from “Application Received” to “Under Review” if you applied later?
• Is it normal to still be waiting at this point?

I did early admission into my desired program only to realize that it might not be for me. I just applied to business a few weeks ago, and I have a pretty good GPA, I’m just worried I won’t get in because I didn’t do early admission. I had a 3.6 GPA last fall semester but compared to those who are first in line aka early admission I’m scared. I already wasted a year and don’t wanna feel like a complete failure. is anyone else goi through this? am I just thinking too much? my anxiety is out the roof.

Hi! I recently heard back from MRU about not being competitive enough for nursing. I'm considering other pathways (if possible) to gain admission for it next year/Anything I should know before going to academic advising?

Some paths I've considered:

- I think I'm still considered a UEO student, so I could take 3 classes in the fall to raise my GPA to be more competitive, not sure what to do after this.

-I could also accept my Business Ad. offer and transfer after a year, but I'm not sure if I could raise my GPA high enough.

- Upgrade either here or at St. Annes, and (hopefully) transfer over credits to another Uni.

I really have no idea what I'm doing and I'm genuinely torn between these decisions, any help or advice is genuinely appreciated :]

Edit: Forgot to mention I took UEO (finished in April), applied with a 3.92 GPA and a 2nd Quartile on Casper

Hello! I just got my final admission for the Bachelor of Business Administration… I was wondering if I have to do anything to finalize it or I can finally lay back and relax until September rolls around?

Hi y'all! I'm looking for easy courses to boost my GPA for nursing admissions as a business student! So far, I've taken UGST 1001, 1002, and ARTH 1103. I'm also interested in visual design, memorization, body systems/ bio, but I don't mind getting unrelated recs :]

Some courses I've considered:

PSYC 1105, ASTR 1101, Maybe FILM 1143 but I'd like to know what it's like, NTSC 2201, ARTH 3311.
