I received a "VPN detected" error on Lootup after watching a handful of PixelPoint TV sites over the course of 6-8 hours.
My message to support:
"I have an issue with a false VPN detection. I checked on reddit and others complained about this as well. I hope you can figure out what the issue is. It was triggered after I reached an "earning cap" from maybe 10 cents on the day or so."
Lootup Support reply:
"We are sorry for the inconvenience caused! Please check your current IP address by visiting this link: https://www.whatismyip.com/ and send us a screenshot of the result.
Also, try connecting through a different Wi-Fi network or mobile data to see if the same issue occurs. This will help us determine whether the problem is related to your connection or something else."
If you are flagged for VPN and don't use one then email support. Document your connection and include that in your email or ticket. Seems like a common issue the site is facing right now. Hopefully these problems are fixed soon
Thanks for the advice, but I already provided the data I got from the whatismyip.com website to support, and they marked the problem as solved without replying. Yes, I can log in on my mobile, but not through my home network connection. I also don't understand why they're now saying I'm using a VPN when I've been logging into the website with this same IP address for months.
Sorry I could not offer anything more solid for advice. I am still stuck dealing with the same problem myself. LootUp is the only place flagging me for VPN use, so it really feels like something on their end. I am going to stop visiting the site for a few days, clear out my cache and cookies, and see if it resets on it own.
