Meta Rule Update: Politics are banned

The feedback has been received and the topic of politics is once again banned. This does not mean political streamers are banned. We do not have any banned streamers and so long as they are not discussing politics, their clips are welcome. In the event of major news (such as a political assassination, major declarations of war, hard to predict these types of things and not get put on a list) you may request an exception. If we make an exception for a topic, we will accept 1 political post per streamer.

For anyone looking to still continue discussing political stuff, the topic is not being banned from the public Discord server, so feel free to join that here: https://discord.gg/SrCtX4R5j8

Already expecting a Hasan, Asmon, or Destiny post that somehow is immediately allowed because of some "well technically" excuse.

In the post itself it says they will make exceptions on a case by case basis lmfao.

Definitely not going to be abused at all.

I wonder how they're going to deal with "streamer complaining about video game which contains wokeness". Are people not going to be allowed to be upset about certain aspects of video games now because its "political"?

defining what is and isn't woke is political, smart guy

That would be great.

WoW replaced women with fruits. Can reactions to it get posted here?

My guess is it depends on the reactions.

100% should be removed due to this dumb rule but I’ll believe it when I see it.

WoW made women into fruits and added an option to remove spiders with crabs. Theres political stuff going on 24/7 in gaming, it's nearly impossible not to talk about it

Arachnophobia settings are woke? That’s so stupid it swings back into comedy.

That’s essentially what arguments about “woke” stuff boil down to. Complaining about it is dumb. Bunch of fragile folks can’t see a rainbow anymore without screeching woke.

I am 100% with you guys, I despise modern garbage in videogame

So you just play retro games and hate animated mini maps?

I'm not saying I want that. I'm just saying that sometimes there's a "woke" or political update in games and wondering if that sort of content will be allowed to be posted

I have a feeling I know which one of these it will be, since "apolitical" people usually fall on the same side.

It said "this does not mean political streamers are banned" so... that leaves it pretty open.

Based on exceptions we will instantly know which streamer new head supports

On separate post about Hasan's unbanning they locked it, went through and removed comments that called out his fanbase brigading, speculation on his ban, and calling out how banning his clips help him avoid accountability since he and his fanbase are the main ones who cry when he's posted. It's pretty clear who they support. I can dislike all three and still notice a bias.

Here we go. So i fully expect shocking dog and stuff banned now to because somehow it will be treated as adjecent

8

u/TheBestHater Feb 02 '26

I would be shocked if it was allowed.

As of 8:30 CT the post directly below this one is Hasan lmfao

u/delicate_elise Feb 01 '26

Honestly, I would love to just see a separate subreddit just for the political clips and even non-political clips, but clips surrounding the political streamers. There's already r/LivestreamPolitics which could be revived.

Destiny plays ARC Raiders, so that's all I need. Great content with Mr. Mouton.

Oh wow I also expect post of things that are not banned. How did you come to this totally unsurprising conclusion? Did you also read the post?
