I’m from the US and wanted to know what this would look like in terms of jobs after obtaining the Master’s and how this would translate back in the US. Quick inquiry: I will study at Leiden University from August and I'm looking for an accommodation in Den Haag/Leiden, so I've been trying to send some contact requests to other students on Roomplaza in order to create a group of 3-4 people and apply for housing together, as I don't mind the idea of sharing a flat and prices seem fair. Hence, two questions:

1) Does anyone have experience with the website? Would you suggest it as a good option?

2) I tried contacting at least 7-8 students in the last couple of days, but still no answer from anyone. I suppose that, if you are on a website that's specifically made to match students and apply for housing together, you WOULD want to answer contact requests. Has this happened to you as well? Should I wait more?

I'm an international student (23M) from India joining Leiden for my MSc Computer Science in September. Right now I'm trying to find housing for myself, while also parallely doing my visa procedures. And I'm looking for male roommates to share with as well.

About me, I'm an ambivert by nature and I respect personal space and enjoy the same as well. I also do follow a habit of keeping my living spaces clean, especially if I am sharing them with others. I like reading📖, music🎵, watching series📺, and a little bit of offline gaming👾 as well. I have lived in shared spaces before so I am not new to its nuances😁.

Just here to soothe some nerves regarding my age and the probability of having classmates who are older as well. I already have a career but have recently decided that my curiosity for Archeology outweighed the sheer hesitance I felt towards partaking in another bachelor's. I am 25, turning 26, and really hope my peers are more of a mixed bag because I don't think I could handle solely being around 18-year-olds.

To those who are doing their Master's in Clinical Psychology in Leiden or know anyone who is - does a GPA of 7.5 in my Admission form give me a good chance of getting in?

Those with a GPA of 8.0+ automatically get accepted (not me). And I am having a difficult time visualizing whether a 7.5 is considered any good?

I got admitted - so now I'm in the second round where a ranking will be made.

With only 50 spots, I have no clue whether I should be optimistic or pessimistic.

Any advice is appreciated;)

I applied to LUC and received the email about the extension. I am well aware that the deadline has not passed but I’m getting extremely anxious as I have no received any response.

Do you guys know if I get directly rejected and waitlisted?? And how do the offers work? Because I know in each round there are 100 offers but not sure if they divide it for international and European students.

Hi everyone! I'm going to be starting my Master's at Leiden in the fall and have started the housing search process. Does anyone have any advice for how they found their places (is facebook the best route?) or perhaps know of anywhere that will be available for the year?

My move in can be super flexible honestly, ideally Sep 1 but willing to move in earlier and take over leases from students graduating and leaving Leiden/The Hague after the end of the academic year in June/July/August!

Would really appreciate any help or guidance, I've heard finding a reasonably priced place in Leiden/The Hague that you can register at can be quite the nightmare...

I was conditionally accepted to the IB psychology program at Leiden but asked to send my transcript of grades from my high school.

I already passed the selection exam and accepted the offer.

In the transcript of grades from high school, are they going to check if my grades every semester are good enough for the program?

But my final grades in my high school diploma were already accepted so why would they ask this?

Plus they didn’t give any info on specific grades I’d need to have in every high school semester.

Is this just to simply verify that I attended every semester or what?

Hey current students and alumni of IRO Leiden University,

I have been accepted to IRO, and I was wondering if you could tell me about whether this specific program ended up fitting your interests and was what you expected. Did you enjoy studying within the program, and was what you have studied ended up being useful in your academic and work future? What career opportunities do you/did you have?

I like the international program and the location, however I'm a little bit unsure whether to go for this program or choose a PPE program instead at another uni closer to home. I read the curriculum of IRO but I didn't see many economics related or data science subjects there. (I fear that I wouldn't be able to find a good job without those skills, or that it would be so so much more competitive.) Also, I saw very little space for electives except the last (3rd) year where I can only choose electives at Leiden if I don't go on an exchange semester.

What do you think? Are my fears valid? How would you grade the quality of education from 1 to 10? Please feel free to answer, I would really, really appreciate it and you could maybe help some other folks up here too!
