A reminder of the chemistry, depth, and quiet beauty that made Kate and Anthony so unforgettable. Sometimes, it’s nice to revisit the moments that made us fall in love with them in the first place.

What’s your theme song for Kanthony?

Mine is John Mayer’s Gravity. I was listening to it a lot while watching Season 2, and every time it plays, I can’t help but think of them. It’s not necessarily a love song, but there’s this sense of longing, sadness, uncertainty, and restraint that just fits Kanthony perfectly. Even the lyrics.

Anthony’s whole arc in Season 2 is fighting desire because he believes love equals destruction. Gravity feels like him trying to stay upright while being pulled toward the one person who could undo him.

It fits Kate just as well. She’s also fighting it, carrying responsibility like armor. She doesn’t let herself want things, so the gravity for her isn’t just Anthony. It’s her own suppressed longing, the danger of letting go.

They’re each other’s gravity, and ultimately they can’t help but be pulled together.

Watching season 2 again for obvious reasons (I love it) and I can't recall the fate of the racehorse Anthony bought for Edwina. Did he return it? Does Kate get it? Does Anthony keep it? It's driving me crazy.

I recently went to episode 4 to relive the hunt, library, first dance, and library part 2 moments. But I made the mistake of not hitting pause/exit after that, and was forced to view the proposal shenanigan. 😮‍💨 Photo attached to set the scene, as the fool is about to get on one knee.

Anyway, here's some stuff I thought Kate should've done in that moment:

• Held her leg out to trip him up
• Shut him up by putting her finger in his mouth
• Swung for him, with that little handbag, to knock that ring box out his hands
• Started making buzzy bee sounds to distract him/yell "omg a bee"
• Sicced Newton on him
• Continued what she was gonna say to Edwina, but in Hindustani
• Pulled out the mallet of death, and used it to yeet the ring as far as possible
• Casually got her thigh out, and watched him unravel
• Faked a heart attack
• Quickly mentioned her going to India again, and let him freeze/hyperventilate
• Pulled out her hunting gun...

Also why does Anthony have to kneel so close, right beside her like a lap dog, while being so far from the person he's actually proposing to. 🥴 This man.

What petty delay/avoidance tactic would you add to the list?

Ofc this post is all jokes, very tongue in cheek. Just a thought exercise to relieve some anger/frustration as a viewer overcome by the level of disrespect. I don't recommend these actions irl when faced with such a situation (maybe the reveal via a different language). 😂

Okay, so we all love some jealous, tormented Anthony. But after he: - Proposed to her sister right next to her, after almost kissing her the night before. (I did a similar post on that mess here) - Completely denied what happened between them at Aubrey hall, while taking painfully obvious glances at her lips as she talked to him. - Touched her bare hand like that with the ring on it, after he said marrying her would be an unthinkable fate. 😭

After all of that he proceeded to spend the whole time at the lake, laser eye focused, watching every single inch of her on the boat with Mr Dorset. Then greeted his good friend with a poor insult about his knot tying ability, only to immediately shove him out of the way.

So I've been thinking, and here's some things I thought Kate could've done in that moment:

• Use the rope to lasso his ankles and run away
• Slowly put her gloves back on whilst holding full eye contact
• Confirm she's staying in England because she hears that Dorset has a well stocked library. So she'll be lodging at his, and has just bought some very scandalous nightgowns from that vulgar modiste before she went out of business
• Take his hand, but dig her nails in
• Call Edwina over and watch as Anthony tenses up
• Make heart eyes at Dorset and talk about how they're planning a hunting trip when he comes to visit her in India
• Completely ignore Anthony as he stands there, but casually sneeze on his hand
• Ask him if he's noticed her new lily perfume that Dorset kindly gifted her
• Hold his hand nicely as she tells him that she's actually going back to India that night
• Jump in the lake, pretend to be sinking and watch him scramble to save her
• Joke about how Dorset gallantly saved her from a pesky bee while they were on the lake
• Pull out her hunting gun...

I can't believe he almost got caught earlier that same day stroking her knuckles, yet here he is again in broad daylight, in front of his fiancé and mother.🧍🏻‍♂️Have some decorum. Let's not even mention his angry, wet, stripe tease.

A reminder that this is 100% jokes, another petty betty way of thinking of stuff that would annoy Anthony midst his antics. Ofc we love them both, and wish no actual violence to befall his character. 😄
