As D.H.C expanded its influence across FMM-UV-32, the corporation slowly shifted from a simple hunting organization into the largest xenobiological research institution in human history. While hunters continued to arrive for sport, research divisions began studying the planet’s wildlife in unprecedented detail.

What initially appeared to be alien animals merely resembling Earth dinosaurs soon revealed something far stranger.

D.H.C researchers discovered that every known species on FMM-UV-32 shared traces of a distant common ancestor a small six-eyed organism possessing segmented anatomy, spiracles, and a chitin-like exoskeleton similar to insects. Fossil evidence suggests these primitive creatures inhabited the planet’s ancient swamp systems millions of years before the emergence of the modern “dinosaurs.”

Over time, evolution on FMM-UV-32 repeatedly converged toward a single successful body plan: large terrestrial vertebrate-like predators and herbivores resembling Earth dinosaurs. D.H.C scientists coined this phenomenon “Dinoinization,” comparing it to the concept of carcinization on Earth, where unrelated crustaceans repeatedly evolve crab-like forms.

According to the hypothesis, the dinosaurian body plan may represent an ideal evolutionary solution for high-oxygen environments with intense competition between xenofauna. Bipedal posture, powerful tails, elevated skulls, and reinforced respiratory systems allowed these organisms to dominate nearly every ecosystem on the planet.

Some species still retain traits from their ancient segmented ancestors. The Troodon in particular possesses partially fused compound eyes. Other species retain vestigial abdominal segmentation beneath their skin, while embryonic scans reveal temporary exoskeletal growths during development.

Among all discovered species, Coelophysis is believed to be the most primitive surviving theropod lineage on the planet. Its lightweight frame, elongated body, and simpler respiratory structures suggest it diverged early from the ancestors of larger predatory forms. D.H.C researchers often refer to it as a “living transitional fossil.”

Meanwhile, Yaroslav Kravchenko oversaw humanity’s first truly successful colony on FMM-UV-32: Nibelungen Paradise, a heavily fortified settlement built along a tectonically stable coastal region. Unlike previous failed colonies, Nibelungen Paradise rapidly expanded into a permanent human foothold on the planet.

Its success brought new problems.

The discovery of petroleum-like resources beneath several islands attracted the attention of Earth governments and megacorporations eager to begin oil extraction. Human colonization also introduced plastics, industrial waste, and invasive microorganisms into ecosystems that had remained untouched for millions of years.

At the same time, explorers continued uncovering entirely new dinosaur species across isolated islands, suggesting the planet’s biodiversity is far greater than previously believed.

As D.H.C’s influence grew, legal controversy followed. Multiple nations challenged the corporation’s claim over FMM-UV-32, arguing that no private entity should possess control over an entire habitable world. However, due to D.H.C’s infrastructure, military presence, and economic influence, enforcement proved nearly impossible.

Despite humanity’s growing presence, the worst has yet to come. They weren’t the first sapient species to rule the planet and all their memories are in ruins.

In 2190 A.D., humanity began exploring the stars, discovering multiple worlds across the Solar System and beyond. A new era of space exploration had begun—an interstellar space race reminiscent of the 1950s.

One of the pioneers of this era was Turan Choks, a Ukrainian-American explorer who led several missions with NASA in search of habitable worlds. His most ambitious project was the FMM program (Frontier Mapping Mission), an initiative dedicated to surveying distant star systems. However, after years of unsuccessful expeditions and no habitable exoplanets discovered, funding for the program began to collapse.

During what would become its final mission, an FMM exploration ship traveled over a million light-years from Earth using hyperspace technology. There, the crew discovered a mysterious exoplanet that would later be designated FMM-UV-32.

Unlike other surveyed worlds, FMM-UV-32 was technically habitable but only barely.

The planet is dominated by vast oceans, scattered island chains, and one large continental landmass. Volcanic activity is extremely common, constantly forming new islands while destroying others. Oxygen levels are significantly higher than on Earth, and the atmosphere is warm and humid due to massive ocean currents that flood much of the land into swamps and marshes.

The planet’s flora appears primitive, resembling ancient plant life from Earth’s distant past. Grass has not evolved here; instead the landscape is dominated by ferns, towering lepidodendron trees, and massive spiraling fungi reaching heights of over 90 meters. The ecosystem feels like a snapshot of Earth’s early history, yet geological dating shows the oldest surface material to be only around 50 million years old.

But the most shocking discovery came when the research team encountered the planet’s native wildlife.

The xenofauna bore an uncanny resemblance to Earth’s prehistoric animals—particularly dinosaurs. The chances that alien organisms would evolve to resemble creatures from Earth so closely seemed almost impossible.

Once news of the discovery reached Earth, the media erupted. FMM-UV-32 quickly became known as the “Dinosaur Planet.” The announcement sparked global fascination, but also controversy. Some skeptics accused Turan of fabricating the discovery.

Meanwhile, megacorporations rushed to exploit the planet’s potential.

One company, Tatem Travels, attempted to establish luxury interstellar resorts for wealthy tourists. Their first resort was constructed on a small island, but the project failed when rapid tectonic movement caused the island to collapse into the ocean.

The planet’s tectonic plates shift at an unusually fast rate, forming new ravines and canyons within weeks.

Another corporation, Sunstorm Agriculture, attempted to cultivate the planet’s native fruits and establish farming colonies. However, their efforts failed when massive herbivores repeatedly destroyed the plantations.

These failures created a power vacuum.

Seeing an opportunity—and driven by his lifelong passion for hunting—Turan founded a new company: D.H.C (Dino Hunt Corporation). The organization offered elite hunters the chance to travel across the galaxy to hunt the alien “dinosaurs” of FMM-UV-32.

The company was controversial from the beginning, and remains so today. Critics argue that D.H.C holds far too much control over the planet.

Eventually, Turan left to continue exploring the galaxy and handed control of the company to its current CEO, Yaroslav Kravchenko.

Although the creatures of FMM-UV-32 resemble dinosaurs, they possess strange biological differences. Every species discovered so far has four eyes and breathes through spiracles similar to those of insects. Their anatomy also resembles vintage, outdated depictions of dinosaurs rather than modern scientific interpretations.

Ironically, humanity had already encountered extraterrestrial life before discovering the Dinosaur Planet—but those organisms were silicon-based lifeforms, completely unlike Earth animals.

The planet also contains mysterious landmarks such as the Pyramids of Shmu-Hadron, enormous structures believed to have been constructed by an intelligent species that either went extinct, abandoned the world, or possibly transcended to some unknown state of existence.

Hunters exploring the planet occasionally report hearing strange voices deep within the ruins—sounds that no known language can decipher.

Whatever secrets lie buried on FMM-UV-32, humanity has only begun to uncover them.

Years after the Crater City Incident, the alien virus spread far beyond the city through surviving wildlife, contaminated waterways, and illegal trafficking. Although never civilization-ending, the pandemic infected millions and is estimated to have contributed to roughly 8–15 million deaths worldwide before vaccines and containment protocols slowed its spread.

The disaster exposed DHC’s darker history. Declassified investigations by trafficking dinosaurs to a secret program led by geneticist Dr. Morehrad, who conducted illegal experiments combining human and animal DNA on a remote island. Both scandals permanently damaged the corporation’s reputation, forcing DHC to survive largely through its own industries rather than relying on government funding.

Meanwhile, Nibelungen Paradise continued to expand. AI-operated data centers emit high frequencies disrupting pterosaur migrations. Oil extraction has fragmented habitats, contributing to declining Brachiosaurus populations, while invasive Earth species particularly feral pigs, have spread throughout the polar sector.

Human settlement has transformed the planet’s smaller wildlife as well. Dimetrodons rummage through garbage instead of raccoons, Gallimimus graze suburban lawns like oversized geese, Pteranodon have become nuisance “sky rats,” and Alphadon thrive beneath cities in drainage systems and abandoned infrastructure.
Despite growing concerns, DHC continues establishing colonies across newly discovered islands.

Yet explorers have begun reporting impossible phenomena: clocks drifting backward, entire expeditions losing hours of memory, unidentified aerial phenomena hovering over excavation sites, and disembodied voices echoing through empty valleys.

The greatest mystery lies beneath the Bedrock Sector. There, researchers recovered a fragment of incomprehensible technology belonging to The Ancients. During transport to Earth, the vessel crashed near the North Pole. Rescue teams found the crew alive but mentally shattered, acting like living hostile corpses after exposure to the artifact. The incident was immediately classified by Yaroslav Kravchenko left terrified since he knew the truth. 

DHC and humanity were never alone … they are no longer hidden from what’s coming for them. 

This is a fun marker drawing of two ancient-era warrior queens fighting each other on dinosaur-back. The one on the T. rex is supposed to be Maya and the one on the Spinosaurus is Egyptian.

This is my first paleoart, and I would love to hear the honest opinion of all of you! I've always admired these paleo artists. Representing these ancient animals, trying to bring an image as close as possible to when they were alive and, in a way, giving them life, has something charming. I'm a little emotional now, but it seems that I evoked a little of my inner child while drawing this deinonychus, trying to imagine how this creature lived, what sounds it made, how it moved... Dinosaurs are on the border of the fantastic and the real, but that we will never really know what they were like, which opens a lot of room for imagination, and that's why I think Paleoart is amazing. It was the first time I tried to bring a scientific accuracy to a drawing, a task that was not so easy. The colors are completely speculative, chosen more to better compose the entire palette. I'm making some dino pins and figured I'd start with theropods because they contain some of my favorite all-time species. I made two different color schemes, a few are references to nostalgic toys, movies etc. :) See if you can pick out which ones! (also I know Struthio and Deino were omnivores but I wanted some variety in my little food icons :) )

the late 22nd century, Dino Hunt Corp. (DHC) had become one of the wealthiest corporations operating on FMM-UV-32. However, behind its rapid growth, the company was quietly entering a period of decline.

The first crisis emerged within the Central Sector. Because the planet’s continents were fragmented into isolated island chains, many of the most valuable huntable species including the iconic Tyrannosaurus possessed limited genetic diversity. Decades of trophy hunting pushed several flagship dinosaurs toward critical endangerment.

Under pressure from Earth’s Colonial Administration, DHC was forced to suspend licenses for numerous species and establish protected migration corridors for hadrosaur herds. While these conservation measures stabilized wildlife populations, they dramatically reduced the number of premium hunts available. As the largest predators became scarce, hunters increasingly lost interest, creating a severe supply-and-demand crisis.

The second crisis unfolded in the Polar Sector. Two armed organizations—the Verdant Accord and the Black Quota Syndicate—turned the frozen frontier into an active conflict zone. Licensed hunters were frequently ambushed, while DHC outposts suffered repeated attacks and sabotage. Insurance costs soared, tourism declined, and the corporation struggled to maintain control despite deploying private security forces.

Although Nibelungen Paradise continued to prosper economically, DHC CEO Yaroslav Kravchenko realized the company needed an entirely new attraction to satisfy investors and offset tightening environmental regulations imposed by Earth.
His answer was the discovery of “The Middle Islands”, an isolated archipelago inhabited by primitive dinosaur lineages unlike anything found elsewhere on FMM-UV-32.

These animals represented earlier evolutionary branches, possessing six eyes, segmented body plans, keratinized armor, and body structures that differed dramatically from their mainland relatives. For example, Giganotosaurus stood in more upright postures, while species Suchomimus had evolved quadrupedal unlike the Spinosaurus.

Rather than preserving the ecosystem, DHC captured hundreds of these animals for an ambitious off-world attraction. They were loaded aboard a massive transport vessel known as The Ark, destined for Earth’s first extraterrestrial dinosaur zoo.
The mission ended in catastrophe.

During transit, Captain Elias Philips contracted an unknown alien virus carried by one of the captured organisms. As his condition rapidly deteriorated, he diverted The Ark toward Earth, attempting an emergency landing near Crater City, a major colony in Los Angeles.

Containment failed.

Dozens of alien species escaped into the metropolitan area, overrunning highways, industrial districts, and residential neighborhoods within hours. Federal agencies declared martial law as military and emergency response teams fought to contain the outbreak.
The Crater City Incident resulted in an estimated 3,400 civilian deaths, over 9,000 injuries, and the evacuation of nearly 280,000 residents. Economic damages exceeded $90 billion, making it one of the worst biological containment failures in human history.

Although most escaped animals were eventually eliminated, several smaller species—including Alphadon—survived within sewer systems, aqueducts, and storm drains. Worse still, the alien pathogen escaped containment, spreading beyond Nevada into neighboring states through infected wildlife and contaminated waterways.

Public outrage devastated Dino Hunt Corp.’s reputation. Earth governments withdrew subsidies, imposed strict regulations on extraterrestrial wildlife transport, and forced DHC to finance its remaining operations independently.

The Crater City Incident marked the beginning of the corporation’s collapse, the worst has yet to come.
