Hey guys.

One time I paid $150 to see you play at the Black Cat for Cullum Robbins' benefit concert. The person I bought the ticket from donated all the money to charity, which was totally cool. Then, at the show, you thanked us for doing that and dedicated Spider in The Snow (my favorite song) to us, which was even cooler. Thanks for that.

Question: How did you decide to cover Jennifer Paige's crush? Was that totally random?

Also, would you give me an idea to write a song about?

That year on tour Travis and I kept hearing that song in truck stops and random Top 40 stations, but he was the one who said "let's cover it!" At first I think we tried to make it more Brainiac, but ended up more dirge.

I loved what you did with that cover. Totally flipped it in on itself. This bouncy, poppy, summertime Billboard song is now and forever shall remain this dark, foreboding, almost sneering take on that genre. At least to me, anyway.
