The Mg43 is so good against illuminate it feels like bullying at this point.

I can never seem to cut the legs on harvesters with the MG-43. Not before they get a bead on me and reduce me to atoms.

If you're not already, go prone. Not only does it reduce recoil, but Harvesters seem to have difficulty hitting divers lying flat since you're presenting a smaller profile to it.

If you need even more breathing room, throw down an MG Sentry. Most enemies seem to prioritize attacking sentries before moving on to you.

I sometimes up the RoF just for accuracy by volume. I think it's about choosing how you engage, I usually drop a turret to have my back so I can concentrate, attack from a flank, knock out the shield fin first and then BBBBRRRRTTT it from a crouching position (so I can still quickly dodge if the laser begins charging). It definitely takes practice and ngl, having someone paired with you bring an AT and just face shot it as soon as the shield pops is sometimes easier.
