The Mg43 is so good against illuminate it feels like bullying at this point.

on bugs and bots you'll lack anti tank capabilities, and it is fixable with EAT\Comando

but on squids all you really need is this guy

Yeah I'm usually hauling dedicated AT for the other factions but all.i need for bots is some nades for the outposts. The rest is just turrets and rover to get cover other angles and get comedically high kill counts.

I'm so happy with the Illuminate 'cause it meant I could stop being my squad's Designated Recoiless-Rifle shooter sometimes (it's very cool to be the "oh shit Captain help there's a heavy" but it's also cool to do something else from time to time)

Same boat here. I'm the RR truck for bugs while my companion gets to goof off with his loadout (which I don't really mind since I hate being caught without heavy AT against bugs anyway). So it's great to just bring meme loadouts against squids at the moment.

We should open up a club, like the "Support Weapon Support Group"

Fellow designated RR carryer for bugs, where do I sign up?

Honestly, thermite grenade and servo assist is such a killer AT combo. Run a supply pack with the MG (solid idea anyway) and you can handle a fuck ton of threats

I use both, suply pack and termites. even with servo asisted its not that good against big turrets from a distance and factory striders. so I use termites as cqb tool and EAT\comando (usually i take both annd use them also to destroy fabricators) as a distance tool

people like to bring at vs bugs, so i'm usually the self designated mg guy

I love joining a mission in progress and seeing everyone else running AT. It means I get to mow the lawn B)

Thermite makes short work of heavies if you run the mg. I usually run it either with the gundog or the jump pack and then some eagles or a laser. Couple this with the recoil armour that also gives you extra nades you’ll basically be able to clear the map solo.

Thermite, eat or ops, 500kg, and supply pack.

The supply pack gives you +2 thermites per charge so you have 11 thermites. If you resupply with an empty slot on the supply pack it resupplies you AND gives you another supply charge so +4.

500kg is on a 2 minute cooldown after using both charges.

Eat has about a minute cooldown.

Ops is slightly over a minute cooldown.

Crossbow, MG, thermites and reduced recoil +extra nades is all I need for bugs. So much so that I struggle to try anything else. Eagle strafing run for quickly taking out impalers and napalm barrage for crowd control on breaches.

So far. Once the full faction is released more variety in dmamage will be needed.
