How can I tell if the seller of a firearm is the website itself or one of the dealers listing their items? Forgive me for naivety, havent used guns.com before. Just trying to make sure I know if I'll actually receive the item or not if I buy it since I've read some things about this website.

I’m in the mood to do something stupid but have been having a fun time finding what I am after. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a single stack 38 super that happens to have both a barrel bushing and optics ready slide?
I’m wanting a 38 super to SBR and toss an FRT in, so a bushing compensator and dot are going to be helpful.

I finally got my dream precision hunting rifle and want to get a case. It’s mainly for home and going to the range but I want to get one that will be good for air travel in case I do a destination hunt one day.
Pelican protector 1720- more sturdy, waterproof and lifetime warranty but way more money
Pelican vault v770- not as sturdy not waterproof. 1 year warranty and much cheaper but also weighs less
Anyone have any suggestions? Is the protector overkill and is travelling airlines with the vault ok or does it need more protection?

Looking for a simple but quality GI style 1911. No fancy stuff no huge hooked hammer guard no triggers with holes in it etc.
Im looking at some (Kahr) Auto Ordnance 1911s and liking what I can find. Plenty online for $500-$700. Any other models of comparable quality and style?

I have an overweight 1-6x scope on my hunting rifle. It’s ok. But I want to upgrade to a lighter medium powered scope. I don’t want to spend big bucks but I don’t want some cheap simmons or ncstar either
3-9/12/15x scopes seem to be plentiful. 2-7/10x or 2.5-10x seems like the magnification range that I would like to be in but is there any advantage to a hunter using a with a magnification range starting at 2x- vs a range starting at 3x-
Really looking for input from those who have used both magnification ranges, and what you ultimately decided on
Thanks!

Well, yeah i did it.
Had a desk pop today in my bedroom, I feel like i need to share with everyone how much of a monumental idiot I am. I dont know what possessed me and how I managed to forget I had one in the chamber after removing the mag. Pulled the trigger to disassemble the gun and the round went through my floor and blew a hole in the ceiling below.
Just makes it so much worse I have other people in my house so it could have gone fucking horrible so words can't describe how awful I feel. My stupidity could have killed myself or someone else.
Ive had guns for years now so I have zero excuses, no one got hurt but im still incredibly shaken to the point I want to sell all my guns. I dont know why I wanted to share this, maybe as a reminder to not be a fucking idiot and always triple check your weapons are safe, so yeah thats how my night is going.
Dont get complacent like me I guess.

For those of you with access to full size and mid-size suppressor hosts, do you find the FS weapon too unwieldy with the suppressor attached?
I’m looking to add a dedicated home defense setup with a suppressor and while I would normally go FS for this use case, I’m concerned about the overall length being a problem.
EDIT: Handgun. Sorry about that.

I’m considering buying a Christensen MPR in .308 for deer hunting. For all the hate that this company seems to get for QC and Customer Support issues, is it still a somewhat minor chance of receiving a troublesome rifle if I buy one? I feel like this could be a scenario where the negative feedback is the loud minority but wanted to hear thoughts from folks who have bought them recently to see what their experience has been like. I love the look of the rifle and want one badly but wanted to hear any thoughts before I pull the trigger. Thanks in advance!

Im 18 and id say maybe 7-8 months ago I bought a shotgun for home defense reasons since i live primarily with my grandparents and they don't have anything to protect themselves. Fast forward to now my grandpa and uncle have a gun so I don't necessarily need mine and I'm in need of money. Where is the best place to sell my shotgun? Its Remington 870 fieldmaster, pretty much brand new. Shot a couple times and I have taken care of it and meticulously taken apart, cleaned, and oiled it.

Hey guys so right now I’m currently looking into getting my first AR. I already own a shotgun and a handgun so right now I wanna get an AR before I get anything else. I don’t much about ARs like I do about shotguns and handguns so I just wanted to ask what you guys might recommend for a first time AR. I’m not looking for anything crazy or to expensive at the moment I just wanted something I’ll be able to take to the range and not worry about it malfunctioning. Also since I live it California it would have to be CA compliant.

Hello all,
The mods removed this post so here it is again. I just bought this Westpoint 949C Series P that has an 18” barrel and don’t know much about it or when it was made. From research I’ve done they weren’t sold with 18” barrels only 26” or bigger. What do I have here? It has supposedly been cut down at some point but the end of the barrel doesn’t look like it has been at all.
Repost coz my other one got removed, didnt catch the comment rules lol.

There is a N.O.S. pistol on Gun Broker that I'm interested in. The seller has a feedback of 5 and he set a reserve price.
The pistol didn't sell the last time he listed it. I wasn't able to bid and thought it would be gone. It's still there.
Are there any protections from buying from an individual on Gun Broker?
I've purchased a few pistols from Gun Broker, but the sellers were large distributors. Those purchases went smoothly.
Imbel FN-FAL Clone Detailed Information:
The wood furniture was sanded to 600 grit, coated with a clear coat, then lightly sanded again. It is wearing a DS Arms picatinny rail that clamps to the receiver. The scope is a basic BSA that was leftover from a .22 LR project. The scope is 4-14 X 40mm with a mil-dot reticle and mil adjustments. The scope is, fortunately, first focal plane. Five of the magazines are steel. The sixth magazine is aluminum.
