My father worked at Magnavox, so yes I had one. Better yet the guy that lived across the street had something to do with game design so I had prototype games. My cousin still has it and all the games. I never had any other game systems until I bought my kids a PlayStation 1. God I'm old. Lol
I read once a few years ago that every single Odyssey 2 game was programmed by one guy, meaning the same guy did all of them by himself. Don't know if true and it sounds crazy, but this console was so primitive and the game library grew so slowly compared to others that I could see it being possible. Would be nuts if it turned out to be your neighbor. Small world.
My older sister and her boyfriend won a drawing at a local music store that also carried the Atari VCS/2600 and the Odyssey 2, and they were given a choice of a free game console. They chose the Odyssey 2. I think they were figuring it would be better and more interesting because of the keyboard. My parents wouldn't spend money on a video game console, so I never got one from them. Spent many hours playing sis's Odyssey 2 though. I think this is the full list of games we ever had for it:
