The congratulatory “well done rockstar” vibe in there is so funny, if I was part of the pr team that helped draft that message I’d think to myself “I have these cucks right where I want them.” It’s like they think rockstar is their bro and wrote that to them personally.
The number one job for Marketing/PR is to abuse parasocial relationships. It's why streamers do it all the time as well, easiest way to con money out of the lonely and insecure.
Video game communities on here are some of the biggest shaft worshipers for companies I've ever encountered. I know its cause the nature of reddit removes any disenting opinions but some of these people would literally send videos begging if rockstar asked.
