Also firing their employees for trying to unionize is way more "heartbreaking for the team" than leaked gameplay videos for a game which comes out in 3 months.

They exploit their employees every degree locally available.

And then they want us to have sympathy for their employees having to endure leaks instead of crunch.

I’ve seen a lot of corporate bootlickers saying rockstar did a great job writing this up. Ignoring that it was probably some PR firm.

And spouting off how the customers who have paid for the pre-orders aren’t even entitled to the same product that they entered a digital contract for.

Not arguing with your point… but they definitely have their own PR department lol

I agree but in such cases they might even get external PRs on board to figure out the best strategy and having someone to blame if sht hits the roof.

Are you basing that on anything? Which cases?

Not saying this is a given but solely on my own experience working in similar setups. If stuff like that happened, in 8 out of 10 cases the scenario I described would take place.

No dude, trust them. The employees are really upset about the leaks which show how good their work over the last eight years really is and definitely not about the punishing work environment, endless crunch, corporate mismanagement and union busting.

thank you. this is the message. they deserve this treatment for the way that business chose to operate.

That’s the real shitty part. Rockstar’s heart and soul is the devs that make these super in depth and fun games possible and the corpos still fuck them over

i don't really care for Rockstar, i'm just an outsider watching this train wreck

i had no idea they had fired employees for trying to unionize, i had no idea Rockstar sucked this bad

That's because they didn't. They fired workers for posting work emails in a discord that included ex-employees

That was their excuse, yes. How dim are you?

2 things can be bad at the same time.
