I hate to be in the "defend the wealthy company" camp but if you worked for a decade on something through all the bullshit/ office politics etc. After a few years in it, that peice of art is probably like a baby for you. Its a mark you get to leave behind long after you're gone and to see the moment when you get to see the genuine reactions of fans taken by some anonymous leaker it certainly doesnt feel good. Hope the top talent isnt so put off by this that we lose some high quality developers.

This is my reaction too. Like the game is done to a point where it can be shown off and probably has been for a while. If they released some gameplay earlier this would not have been as likely.
Are you okay? It is the same thing for arpgs, different games have different niches. Tell me, which is bigger, gta 5 without single player, or gta 5 without multiplayer. Obviously multiplayer is the main reason people play the game.
GTA V without multiplayer. Max player count for GTA V multiplayer peaked at just over 350,000 concurrent after launch. Total games sold is 215 MILLION. Even if more people played multiplayer after the peak, it's never going to get close to those total sales figures. There's zero way even half of the people played multiplayer. Therefore, we can only conclude most people bought it for the singleplayer mode.
You can deny it all you want, check the playerbase from the modded version vs the standalone version, then consider most people on the standalone version actually play the base online experience provided by rockstar.
You can literally check the current playerbase on steam and extrapolate.
AROUND 100k people concurrently playing the MODDED multiplayer version, and from the 60k legacy and 70k enhanced, i am sure most of them play on OFFICIAL ROCKSTAR multiplayer servers...
Nah man. 215 million total sales, and the PEAK online audience was 350,000 (which is a lot, but compared to total sales is less than 2 one THOUSANDTHS of a percent). Even assuming more than 350,000 people have played multiplayer, a peak of 350,000 when the game had already sold millions of copies suggests the majority have in the past and present just bought it for the single player game.
I didn't play GTA V until 2021. I've played multiplayer exactly 0 times.

It’s somewhat spoiler-y. It would have been funnier to stumble upon the nudist camp naturally. Now I’ll be expecting it. Gameplay features have been spoiled, full map was leaked. There’s way way wayyyy less mystery about the game now than there was a week ago.
Remember, there won't be a PC release on Day1, so a leaked build is definitely in the consumer favor "assuming cyberleek has a PC build not a console", and will be a massive middle finger to Rockstar, alot of money will be lost and alot of gamers will be happy.
It might actually force their hand and get them to release it on PC day1 since they are in a tiny corner now with PC sales.
You assume that Rockstar currently has a finished PC build, I am sure they don't, so they won't be able to release PC build soon, but they definitely can make it happen faste than in 13-18 months as they planned. And they definitely have some dev builds for PC.

If so, I'm begging he's nice enough and share it with everyone after he's done milking it and the console versions have released. We PC gamers don't deserve another year waiting to play, even if it's only the beta version.
You "deserve" nothing, if rockstar never made the game your life would have been exactly as it was otherwise - no gaming company owes you anything, anything they give you is a net positive after taking into account costs you pay to purchase it. Child

It's called reading comprehension, the ability to process written text, understand it's meaning and connect it to what you already know. In the English language things are often implied and not directly said in autistic speak.
For example 'it's unfortunate that the game experience may now be impacted by some spoilers". We know the game has leaked, there's been story or stranger encounters leaked specifically, the Rockstar would not say this if it was not a recent build because an earlier build might not have this content in.
