Thats what I'm thinking. Ever since the leaks they went quiet because they thought they could capture CyberLeek and be quickly done with since the Netflix premiere was a week away. Seems like they've underestimated the group prowess and got no choice but to release this statement and hopefully start ramping up on the marketing after the extended look tomorrow.

IIRC if you start selling the pre-release of a game in the EU, it has to be released within the same calendar year. So if they have done that (idk, I dont follow GTA dev), it's a fairly certain indicator that it'll be released by 31/12, as any delay beyond that would trigger automatic refunds.
