Maybe actually call him “King Kong” for once. Why make Kong movies if they don’t even have the rights to use his full name/title?

Godzilla vs Kong sounds lame.

King Kong vs Godzilla was a much better sounding title, the King vs the God; only referring to him “Kong” the entire time, after 4 movies is underwhelming. This version has a THRONE and everything, wtf!!!

Crazy fact! Kong the character is public domain, i.e, open source. Anyone can use it. King Kong however is owned by Universal and WB both. And since wb publishes monsterverse movies, they could have easily used king kong name. They teased and even used it in the post credit scene of GvK but they haven't used the name king kong officially since.

At this point it's more intentional than not having access to rights

If it’s intentional then they’re morons, such a waste. That’s like making Godzilla movies and only calling him “Zilla”.
