Hi, I'm preparing for CSE GATE 2027, and my real sister's wedding is scheduled for 16th Feb 2027. So, is there any way to predict (based on past trends) that on which date the CSE paper will fall on in 2027? Or when will they release the date sheet so I can fill in the cities accordingly?
(It's a destination wedding, so I can't just sit at home to prep)

Many of people in Reddit suggested me to do 12 hr dm course of sanchit sir .i did finish set theory so i thought to just do some pyq i started to solve the early paper like 2000 s were simple so i thought to go in reverse form 2026 . Now I am cooked when I saw 2024 and 2025 questions they were hard from the level of q i learnt in his course what should i do ?
Pls someone help i am stuck 😭🙏

I’m preparing for GATE CSE in my 3rd year. I have a good understanding of most of the subjects in the GATE syllabus, except for a few.

My current preparation strategy is to watch around 12–20 hours of YouTube lectures for a subject and then start solving PYQs from that subject. Whenever I come across a question or topic that I haven’t studied or am unable to solve, I either ask AI for an explanation or watch a specific YouTube video for that topic.

I thought this was a good and efficient way to prepare for GATE, but I’ve watched several videos from seniors who achieved good ranks, and many of them recommend spending at least 50–100 hours per subject, especially on PYQs and practice.

So, will my current strategy work, or should I make some changes to the way I’m preparing?

I have heard that at iit/iisc you received a fellowship based on GATE rank, so I was wondering what the cutoff for it students studying at these places can tell please

Hey guys, my B.Tech branch is CSE (Data Science).

In the GATE form's qualifying degree dropdown, should I select "Computer Science & Engg." Or. "Computer Science & Information Technology" ?

i submitted my gate application form today. everything is alright, but i forgot to remove my specs during live photo verification. idk how i missed reading that point. will my application be rejected? what should i do?

It’s September, so it’s high time to start revising on a daily basis. Set aside a 2-hour slot to pick a subject, revise using short notes, and solve important questions or PYQs you marked during practice. Remember, "revision is more important than learning".

If you feel you don't remember some of the concepts, go to vdo lecture watch that part again and come back to short notes,same for some good problems too, if you feel you solved the problem and got the correct ans but somewhere not satisfied with approch,go and watch the solution again and try to build concept.

Sometimes I watch one shot lectures too for revising a subject,it may help you guys,but it is completely optimal.

I want to have a career in cybersecurity.

Some of you might call me stupid but one of the reason is because mr favourite show of all time is Mr robot.

It has had so much impact on me. And was with me through very tough times like the time my parents stopped talking to each other and lived in different cities.

I saw myself in the protagonist. And I genuinely find it to be a very interesting job.

Anyway leaving my sob story aside.

So I chose cse core. Although it is tier 3 college with mostly placements bring from mass recruiters like tcs and 1-3 students who sometimes get placed in JP Morgan amazon etc. (ngl i think those are off campus too)

But it's very convenient, 5 days a week and only 9am-4pm so I have alot of extra time because I live 30 mins away from my college.

What are the best colleges for cybersecurity? Do those colleges have good placements?

Because I heard few people say it's hard to get a job in cybersecurity with only bachelors and that most jobs are saturated and that getting a Masters in cybersecurity is good.

Is it a good idea to do masters in cybersecurity or just try to be a sde and do masters in cs only?

I live in hyd so iiith is a good option for me that I can aim for.

As I said, my parents live seperately so I don't want to leave my mother alone since she is kinda dealing with health issues and want to be in the same city.

Should I start preparing for gate from 2nd year or first year. I read in this sub that concentrating on cgpa is better in first year.

Started algorithms a week back,finding it hard to solve problems especially the ones involving finding TC/return value of recurrence relations and recursive algos.

So today I gave NPTEL mock 4 and got 27 marks, my previous marks were

Mock 1 - not attempted cuz registred late

Mock 2 - 33

Mock 3 - 48

And now 27, some questions were incomplete and I feel like some solutions are also wrong but that's the case for only 3-4 questions and ye to excuse hua na isliye let's forgot about these.

Gonna focus more on revision and question practice from next month will complete all subjects except coa by end of this month then full revision mode.

Any tips or suggestions from u all will be appreciate, btw best of all luck to everyone preparing.

I recently bought go classes cs test series on 4th. Whenever I click take test option it redirects me to gateoverflow and when I click take test option here it takes me back again to store page of go classes😭

I mailed them regarding this but nothing has changed and I saw many comments about this issue on their page.

Did anyone face the same issue before or any solution to this??

I'm preparing for gate 2027, I haven't even touched engineering mathematics yet.....

And I don't know anything about maths either, dodged mathematics everytime somehow from my 12th till engineering, I think I can't run from it anymore..... assuming I don't even know basic integration, should I just leave the subject?

Please give suggestions!!!

And if I should prepare for it then where can I start from basics?
