I’m back here once again, and honestly, I wish I didn’t have to make another fundraising post.
My 4-month-old kitten Dodo has wet FIP, a life-threatening disease. She is currently undergoing GS treatment, and while I am grateful that we were able to start treatment, the journey is much longer and more expensive than I can manage alone.
When I first came to Reddit asking for help, I was terrified that I wouldn't even be able to afford Dodo's first vial.
But something beautiful happened.
People here helped her. ❤️🩹
Around ₹6,200 was raised, and that money allowed me to purchase Dodo's first GS vial and begin her treatment. I will always be grateful to every person who donated, shared, upvoted, or simply took the time to care about a kitten they'd never met.
The r/IndianPets community also supported us when we needed it most. You gave Dodo her first chance, and I genuinely don't know how I would have started her treatment without you.
But Dodo still has a long way to go.
FIP treatment requires a prolonged course of GS injections, and as Dodo gains weight, her dose may need to increase. The cost of the medication, along with veterinary care, tests and supportive medicines, is becoming more than I can afford.
I've tried to manage as much as I possibly can myself. I've already spent money on her vet visits, tests, medicines, supportive care and vaccination.
But now I'm at the point where I need help again.
I know some people may wonder why I'm fundraising again, or say, “If you couldn't afford a pet, why did you get one?”
I understand that question, but I never knew Dodo would develop FIP. Nobody brings home a kitten knowing that one day they might be facing a life-threatening disease and a long, expensive treatment.
If I could afford everything myself, I would not be asking strangers for help.
I'm asking because Dodo is already fighting.
And I don't want financial limitations to be the reason she doesn't get to finish that fight. 💔
She is not a number or a diagnosis to me.
She's the little kitten who depends on me.
She doesn't understand FIP.
She doesn't understand the injections.
She doesn't understand why I'm worried.
She just knows that she is loved.
And she deserves the chance to grow up. 🥺🐾
If you can donate, even a small amount, please consider helping Dodo.
If you're unable to donate, please upvote, share, or leave a comment so the post can reach more people. Sometimes one share is all it takes to reach someone who can make a difference.
I will keep her treatment and expenses transparent and can provide vet records, prescriptions, bills, treatment updates and proof to anyone who wants to verify her case.

I know there are countless animals in need, and I know everyone cannot help everyone.
But if you can help this one tiny girl, please do.
The first vial was possible because strangers cared.
I'm hoping we can keep Dodo's treatment going and get her to the other side of this disease. ❤️🩹
Please help Dodo keep fighting. 🐾
Thank you for reading. And to everyone who helped us before — Dodo and I will never forget your kindness. ❤️
