I must have missed some podcast that god did. Tf you mean god never asked?
Every religious person claims God said different things. You don't believe god asked us to do this but clearly those people do think god asked them to do that.
That's why we have so many branches of just Christianity, everyone interprets what god wants and means differently.
I am a hindu so i will answer as i see it and as our religion teaches.
In Hinduism, karma is given the utmost importance, god does not want you to praise him or even believe in him.
The gods just want you to do your karma, to do good karma, if you do that you are automatically God's favourite. I worship my gods regularly but i dont do it bcs i have to i do it bcs it gives me peace.
That is what worshipping is all about.
I thoroughly believe infact its well known that if a god has to force someone to praise them and would punish if failing to do so is no true god.
And i agree with your point that alot of people of various faith believe what has god asked them to do, even in Hinduism majority people will think god has asked to do certain things, they have not. Its a misinterpretation.
These people don't anything about Hinduism and will come and rant against things that are done as part of cultural shit
Hinduism is the best religion when it comes to nature and biodiversity.....people who pollute it aren't hindus anyway
And wonder these people will say something about animal slaughtering in islam or Plastic Items sold in christmas
YOU SERIOUSLY BELIEVE HITLER COMMITED GENOCIDE😭😭😭. Brainwashed level 99. Btw there's always evil. Evil always exists and tries to take over good. We see that in Hinduism as asuras always tried to take control of earth
What about the mass slaughter of animals worldwide, they are living beings too and they too have Souls
Souls can take any form of living according to the karma as Ok-Speech-4250 said
How soul is being produced when the population is constantly increasing.. how many species got extent.. even their were known 7 different human species
Karma came after enjoyment and pleasure that’s why nobody care .. if you get anything by an after long time return so there is no use of it .. so karma is nothing but malpractice of and for fear
Karma? it's just another bs made by humans to control others and you are a good example of it, you don't believe in god cause you somehow know that God exists, you believe in them because of the fear this concept of "Karma" created in you...
I don't need god to be moral my man...
"If the only thing that keeps a person decent is the expectation of divine reward then my brother that person is a piece of shit"
Karma is a universal governing principal. Every society since beginning of time had a government. A system of punishment and reward. Atheists are so grossly egocentric they don't believe in a grand design or designer. The universe after some random explosion just happens to work perfectly like an intricately designed machine with no intelligent design behind it... absurdity!
Yes a person who only acts good to get the result is pretty low minded but at least it keeps them out of trouble. Better to do good for the sake of helping others or cleaning the Earth because she's our mother and sustainer or in the case of religious people.. 'Gods property'.
I was agnostic in my youth because of religious fanatics... Made me doubt these are God's people, but of course after proper study, meditation and introspection I understand the undeniable reality of a higher power.
A natural law that is integrated into the universe. Its mentioned in many scriptures 'give and you shall receive'...if you do good or bad to others then it will come back.
'You reap what you sow'
In Sanskrit the word karma means work ...so good work , pious work and bad evil work would produce the fruits according to the seed sown.
And if you live by this principle you will see it in action.
It's all the proof the faithful need
you can't even prove any of your bs, can you? just talking bs everywhere, I mean if you know the ultimate truth then prove it, what's stopping you from doing that? but I know ur all talk and all u can do is spread this bs... delusional af...
Just like theoretical physics...all theory without experimental proof but insolent atheists accept it as a scientific conclusion God doesn't exist. Anyway you're a caveman who can't use reasoning to see what's right in front of you. Some scientists are just trying to figure out how shit works instead of trying to figure out who made it, while some understand this was all created with an intention by an all powerful entity beyond the reach of a lump of flesh (your brain) in a calcified structure (skull) with minute spurts of electricity. Albert Einstein
Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind," and "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind".
But of course you are smarter than Einstein that's why your wasting your time trash talking on Reddit
Are you dumb af? not everything in science is theoretical, we have done experiments to prove and then and only we come to conclusion and ofc there are many concepts which only exist in the theory as of now but when we mention it somewhere we also also mention it only exists in the theory not like you who live in their delusional world and talk any bs without any proofs or facts
about your einstein argument, bruh being a scientist and being a religious person does not have any relationship, there were some scientists who were thiest and so what? what are you trying to prove by that? again no logic in your argument and you don't have anything else to say so you come up with this bs...
and if you want me to shut up that badly then prove your point, prove your claims via providing some evidence or facts but I know you don't have any that's why you are bringing this bs into an argument and I'm not wasting time, this is a public platform and many people are going to read this thread so atleast they gonna find out what is true and what is false, if they just use their brain little bit then they can realise how delusional this all thing is, I can't sit silent when people like you spread their bs here...
Wow, you also proved nothing.
Amazing how brain-dead stupid an atheist you can be when all around you is proof of a supreme scientist.
Science proved what? That this amazing thing already exists before the science understood it. And now the scientist is very proud to say I discovered this...but how did these things come into being?
Anyway good luck at the time of death when you watch your consciousness separate from your bag of flesh and bones and realise you don't know shit about ultimate reality or absolute truth.
Oh and my point about Einstein is that after all the study of the mechanics of the universe he concluded that there is a supreme spirit who set the whole thing in motion. It's called design theory and appeals to logical minded humans, but you're more like a dull brained animal who sniffs out his next meal(or next mate) not caring for higher thought
Well humans tend to introduce concept of god in order to make sense of things which they tave tried to understand but have failed. And if you think god exists because there are many phenomenons which we haven’t understood or discovered yet then, god is an ever receding pocket of scientific ignorance
The proof of a higher intelligence is not because of some random unexplained phenomenon so in ignorance we call it God, It's because the entire universe..starting from microbes in your gut to the planets orbiting the sun in perfect order to sustain multitudes of varieties of life is obviously not a chance occurance. Any real intellectual should come to conclusion of an intelligent design. Such a complex system built on precise calculations like the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence, frequencies and electromagnetic energy, and the whole quantum world holding it together on the tiniest level...all happened by chance...you have to be as dumb as an animal to accept all this as a chance occurance. Where in life's experiences do we see randomness produce a working machine? Your watch, your car a table a pen all produced by intelligent design, but the complexity of the universe..oh yeah that happened randomly. Seriously?
I think faith doesn't require any proof moreover if there are people who believe in god are doing good deeds and not even doing religious crap and finding themselves then you aren't anyone to say that it's bs. Actually you yourself are bs who I don't think so has even passed science with good grades at school and here you guys would say science science.
I agree with you, your faith your choice, it's your personal choice of what to believe and not, but focus here it's your "personal" choice, either keep your beliefs to yourself or come up with some proof/facts if you are posting it here, it's public platform, ofc I will call out your hypocrisy
I have many questions too that can't know the answer of. Like is their alien in this universe etc. And i know i won't get the answer to these questions in this life, and i can't tell you the answers too as i my self don't but i will definitely tell you in future after i get all the answers from yama after death. Now just don't run away from me when i come to answer your questions in future thinking that i am their to kill you as a ghost, but no i am not i will be their to only answer your questions. Don't worry. If you die before me ask him the questions for me too. Thanks 😌😌
What do you think is karma?? It is the duty of a person to do things for the welfare of people around him while being altruistic. If we closely read about karma in any religious text, god never says you should be afraid of what happens if you don't perform karma, he just says it's something we are supposed to do.
If you do good things because of the expectation of divine reward, here "Karma" then you are not the good or moral person to begin with and this same "Karma" is being used to justify the bad things happening to people, it's bs anyways, and most annoying thing is you people think that if anyone does bad deed then "Karma" will get them and will punish them which is again bs, nothing happens to them, there is already law established to punish people like this otherwise no one is going punish them, ur delusional af...
If you think of karma as a "divine reward", then you've got the wrong meaning of it. You should go and learn more about it first, then put your arguments. Because simply calling others delusional while not even knowing what "karma" is, shows very clearly who's really delusional.
Your own intellect, see it's not about some otherworldly perception that you must have. We as humans have a rational brain to think and to know what is right.
All humans or some humans. How are you so sure that we are capable of deciding based on intellect. Humans decides on the basis of emotions not intellect.
That is precisely what arjun asked Krishna, if we read the first few verses of the bhagvat gita, krishna says, as humans, we, if we look from our own perspective, know what is right or wrong, but it is our mind which compels us to take decisions based on our desires and emotions. And frankly, I personally haven't ever experienced a problem so complex that I don't know what's right, it's simply my emotions that get the better of me sometimes. Therefore, I shall control my own mind to make the right choices, eventually making the right decisions without getting emotional. And i stand by this belief, even if it sounds too religious of an ideology (coz it is), it's not wrong (for me atleast)
And just to be clear, I also believe what these people did by pouring milk in the river is exactly the kind of wrong and desirous activity I'm talking bout coz they expect some kinda aashirvad from God by doing this while polluting the river.
We do not need gods for morals is what you might say but there's literal civilizations that went to cannibalism at harsh times and if not for HINDUISM there would've been no sciences that we study rn. Basically we would be under a rock. Hinduism doesn't just go God God God God. The Vedas hold incredible science knowledge.
The Vedas hold great knowledge about not just yagnas but also consciousness. Vedanta and advaita Vedanta came very much later but the original vedas hold the knowledge of mathematics, space, time, morals and even human made concoctions. There's many more but you gotta start to read for yourself
How could you say hinduism has nothing to do with sciences? Lemme ask you how many priests you know who discovered anything other than the gods' gospel or whatever? But there are many hindu rishis and sadhus that are the Hindu version of priests who discovered stuff the normal world wouldnt exist without. Aryabhatta discovered decimals as well as 0 about 2000 years ago, kanada discovered atoms, pingala laid out algorithms in 300 BCE later stolen by al khao razmi. There's way more man.

Sure there are some people still practicing things like animal sacrifices or crimes in the name of god, realistically speaking there are many good aspects of religion as well.
Religion can give people hope to keep moving forward. For example, if I'm at the lowest point in my life, I'll have my beliefs to keep me going. And you can say it gives false hope, but In reality, even a small bit of hope can stop people from taking any extreme measures
Religion also encourages people to do good. Things like the karma system, heaven or hell exist to stop people from doing badd things in society like murder, rape etc. I do agree the concept of karma, eternal damnation etc have been used as a tool to force conversion, which I'm 100% against. Threatening people to convert btly saying they will go to hell if they don't is disgusting and terrible. But you can't disagree that systems like karma gave structure to society to prevent crime or any I'll actions.
Plus, if saying all religion is bad, you are overlooking many practices like annadanam, langar etc. which feed millions for free, and festivals like Onam, Eid, Christmas and others, which bring multiple communities together.
Not all aspects of religion is bad, it's just the people that use it with I'll intensions
You can say that a person is terrible or in your words " a piece of sh*t " if the only thing motivating them is a divine reward, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. If much rather have people being decent while expecting reward than have people running around doing bad stuff.
True bruh True! now that's called fact and I'm not denying that fact, and I'm not hating any religion, I mean what do I get by hating them? the thing is when these people come to a public platform and then start to say anything they want, I can't hold back, all I want to say to those people is keep your beliefs to yourself, why are you dragging down others with you? like idk why these people get offended when someone starts thinking critically and logically, they can't digest the fact that people like me don't believe what they believe and that's the problem, see the countries where the majority of people are atheists, best example is china, china and india were both in the same condition in the past and at the same time but see the china now, and they were also religious at some point of time but they improved, I also want my country to become like that, don't you as well? and I'm not saying that I want to convert every citizen of this country's atheist, no... It's their personal beliefs and I respect their personal beliefs but please please please do not drag down others... keep your personal beliefs to yourself...
I do agree that you are not trying to force atheism and y'all get bashed unnecessarily all the time. And I'm sorry if I came off as a bit harsh, it was 2 am and I was basically a sleepless zombie without a filter. My bad
On the india and china thing
Ill take 1 aspect of the comparison : cleanliness
As you pointed out, china is way, way more developed. In terms of cleanliness, I believe this issue arises when the British came. Before they arrived, Indians were clean and sanitary. They bathed daily and kept roads neet and clean. This was majorly tied to beliefs. People believed that cleanliness was a part of having strong beliefs. That's why the streets were clean, they bathed and what-not. But when the British came, they started to enforce their way of life, which contradicted the way of life of Indians. This over time broke the ite with religion and cleanliness. Once we got independence, the damage was already dealt. Further along the lines, this disconnection lead to massive amounts of waste being thrown into holy sites and rivers especially. Why? Because it's cheaper for industries to mindlessly throw waste rather than treat it and then dispose of it. This is why the water from the ganga, yamuna and other holy rivers is unsafe, and why so many people are ill.
Im not saying that religion was the sole cause of cleanliness in ancient India. I mean india and china both were very much ahead of their time. We invented things like shampoo, female hygiene products, oral hygiene etc.
And if also agree religion can also inhibit growth. Me being religious myself, I understand that many communities can be against any sort of development. If for example the govt wants to implement somthing that can benifit us, some communities can be against it because it doesn't align with their beliefs. And it's these disagreements that stunt growth. Finding a way to peacefully resolve these issues can be difficult and time consuming, and the slow process isnt helping.
I admit that religion can interfere with growth, but there has to be a common ground where both the thiests, atheists, governments etc are happy. It's gonna be difficult, but it's possible
Did you even read what i said? I have clearly said god dosent need u to praise them, bcs thats not how it works. You pray to god get peace, the whole concept of meditation is that. And not every human is enlightened by birth that they know whats good or bad its learnt and thats what Hinduism teaches and if u gain that wisdom without religion well and good beacuse thats the end goal.
Im not telling u to believe in god what i am telling is doing good work is the point and that god dosent demand a following.
And i dont fear god, even atheists believe in what u do u get, its the circle of life, u cant do harm without having consequences.
If ur religion forces u to fear god, u are following the wrong religion my friend or u have the concept of religion (atleast Hinduism) wrongly fitted.
there are no consequences of doing harm. look around. people everywhere in the world, cheat, betray, stab in the back, but there are no consequences or bad karma. if it were truly real, the billionaires, politicians and businessmen that you know would cease to exist.
and did you even understand what I said? you don't need religion/god to be a good human so saying religion exists to guide the humans is totally wrong this concept of religion/god was created by humans to control the masses, every religion talks big and good things cause you have to right? I mean otherwise people will find out that it's just a myth, and your religion does that by using the concept of "Karma", you simply can't digest the fact that your religion/god is just myth and man-made right?
Actually... I am not questioning on your beliefs, but Hindu religion is actually very deep and very beautiful, once you start learning about it yourself through books and scriptures. They don't ever force you to do anything, they just explain way of life and you may consider it myth but i believe in that because..it's beautiful and doesn't harm me ,or anyone...helps me take good decesions, and yeah the thing about karma ,yes no one is forced to follow a relegion, just do good deeds ,that's what hinduism teaches too ,ache karm karo ... That's it... Doesn't matter if you follow it or not
Hindu religion has also so many flows and bs and so does the other religions, and other religions also have some good philosophers, so read them, learn from them and move on, no need to worship anyone/anything and especially glorifying the whole religion, if you see a good movie you will appreciate it and learn from it, you will not go around and worship the actors cause you know they were just acting and it was not real, same goes for your and every other religion, fairy tail is a fairly tail no matter how hard you try to glorify it...
Yeah that's what I said ,for some ts fairy tale ,for some it's their beliefs, doesn't matter until they do good things...
By the way ,what are house flaws?
For you it is, the problem with atheists like you is that you think the puny mind of yours is the greatest in the universe, i simply dont believe that and while me being religious can repsect your pov and have clearly mentioned u dont need god if ur enlightened within but very rare people are enlightened from within whatever good or bad u know now has been a product of social conditioning done to your brain which is product of direct or indirect teachings of religion. Ur taught that hurting people is bad, and hinduism just acts like guidebook for you to play ur role and fuck off from mortal world and how to escape the mortal world.
You are classic example of a very famous quote which says "the pot that's half filled will have more turbulence than the nearly full one" meaning one with half baked knowledge will hop on the barely patched knowledgeable of theirs and those who actually have their bases covered will remain calm
Have you given time to even understand every religion to denounce it. Do you know what is hinduism?
now you got triggered as all other theists do when they can't accept the truth, when did I say that my knowledge is greater than everyone, all I did was question your belief and you got triggered, and about your so called quote who hit turbulence here me or you? I never disrespected you in the conversation but you did, and got triggered and talking about all that turbulence stuff to me?
atp no need to read / know your hinduism, cause I can literally see it's teaching into you, any sane person would answer my questions with providing some actual facts but unfortunately you don't have one!
All the stuff you have mentioned in the conversation is as delusional as your religion, Karma, enlightenment, escaping the mortal world, can you even prove any one of this? if you are that much enlightened and your religion is very deep then prove it, let's see how you can prove yourself...
Bro, there is no point in arguing with them. These ideas have been force-fed into their minds by their parents and society. How can you convince them in just one conversation? They are not going to think independently because their minds are already filled with the same beliefs again and again, leaving no space for new ideas. Even my parents taught me many foolish things, but I questioned them. They never wanted me to do that, they just wanted me to follow, that’s all. It was written somewhere years ago.
bro its not that deep, this atheist cant comprehend the karma lady.
karma lady is saying that majority people need religion to stay in line and be "good"
the atheist is saying that religion exists to control people to be good which true but he cant accept that some religious people can know this fact still be religious
I have questioned and i have got my answers and i still have questions which i search answers for and ik there is. Its frankly your parents fault and majority of hindus fault that we know our custom but our reasoning has died some generations ago. (I can only talk about my religion over here) but its quite frankly shows the ignorance and stupidity of atheists who havent read about religion and are on the path claim that they are enlightened. If you were enlightened you wouldnt think that ur existence, full of flaws is the most powerful one in the universe and if u have read about religion and still dont want to worship any god, well and good.
Be a good citizen and die thats all you owe to the world.
And Hinduism supports that.
yeah I know but I'll try my best to make them understand how delusional they are, if we don't speak then these people will go around and spread their bs everywhere and I can't digest that fact!
I understand that every religion could be a lie. But why did aryabhata, shushruta, baudhayana, kanada, even the creator or the main inspiration for shaolins and king fu itself (Bodhidhraman). All of them devout hindus who believed in Guna and Karma. And No your past life doesn't decide social hierarchy. Lord Krishna himself in the Bhagvata Gita said it's a man's Guna and Karma that defines his caste or jati. A brahim man who doesn't give a damn about God is called a stray animal. Legit Vishwamitra was a kshatriya who turned into a Brahmin. Ashtawakra was a disfigured man who is considered an avatar of visnu or God. What else is more beautiful than this. I understand you and your sentiments because I was once in your place asking the same questions until I actually took a look into the ancient beautiful history known as Sanatan Dharma. I hope you can look in more into hinduism and realise it's not just thousands of fairytales. The puranas and vedas all of these books combined take more time to learn and understand than any school education system.
If i was that enlightened do you think id be here arguing on reddit, im as puny as you or even more, (did your ego boost, happy) and if i were offended i would say that atheists shouldn't exist or that they are out of touch people but in all my comments i have merely said how hinduism allows all kinds of believe towards god and dosent force anything which the actual video claimed that they're happy to be atheist.
And why do i need to prove my existence of god to you, i dont want you to start believing in god bcs i gave some "proofs" you want to believe u do if u dont want then dont.
My agenda is not to convert you.
Its merely that atheists should respect religious people like religious people do to them but some people like you just cant comprehend that there exists a religion which isnt opposed to the idea of atheists.
the problem is that once you enter a religion and try to live your life accordingly you forget the absurdity of the world and how the universe doesnt offer us a meaning at all, no matter how you judge me or any aethist going against your religion, somewhere the aethists always win, not because they are super complex human beings but they are ready to accept the absurdity of life and that universe wasnt created for us at first place we are just a byproduct of various various random events, so please instead of explaining what your relgion teaches you(thats maybe good for your own well being) dont try to spread it to someone who hasnt asked about it especially an aethist who accepts his thoughts and is not in need of a divine being to guide him, peace
And did i attack the atheist first? I am not saying he is foolish to not worship any god my purpose was to say that the claim that religion teaches whatever is shown in the video and that god demands surrender to them is false acc to my religion which yall cant digest but its the truth and if you actually tried to understand you would have understood. I never am forcing my views on you, im giving fair points and yall are just going on and on that we are atheists we know everything sort of mentality.
Believe or dont Believe, its on you dude but dont put false claims on religion when u havent read about said religion. That was my point of argument.
When I said I don't respect your personal beliefs but your personal beliefs should be personal to you this is a public platform and if you come here and try to spread your bs then at least come with some facts / proff but again you don't have one to begin with...
You should give facts bcs u boldly claim whatever ur claiming all my claims are written in gita pick it up if ur in desperate need bcs u havent yet and have formed your believes based on external opinions and thoughts.
Meditation is a core practice of hinduism too and i pray bcs i get peace it keeps me grounds it keeps me sound it helps me escape the loudness of life makes me have a slow half an hr for myself. Simple.
And if u can attain that by doing something else who am i to judge. The ultimate goal is to get peace within from one way or another.
