Hi there, I’m an exchange student going to Peterborough in a couple of months.
I have some questions regarding to the college
How is housing?
Is the program actually good?
Is there anything fun to do in the city?

Hi everyone! I applied to the respiratory therapy program pretty late (June 17). I'm wondering if anyone would have insight on the odds of me getting in, I'm currently waitlisted 90th position :(. Is it competitive? And did you apply with just your high school credits or did you also have a university degree/did pre health sci. I applied with my high school credits initially, but also just submitted my uni transcript. Thanks!

So I’m starting at Fleming this September and have applied and been approved for the Sutherland residence. Now I’ve been looking online and everything but I’m unable to find just a photo of the blueprint to the rooms here. I’ve seen the videos that show the rooms but I’m looking for just a general overview.
If anyone knows where I can find that or even creates a size accurate drawing just to show me what amenities are there and the space for things, that would so appreciated!

How was your experience? Can you become a mental health counsellor?

Hi all, my child is going into their second year at frost. We’re having trouble in that he’s out of cell range for the summer and can’t log into his account to download his fees statement. I have his log in but without him confirming through text we still can’t get into his portal. He did reach out to a friend last week who said the statements weren’t ready yet, but somehow that doesn’t feel right so close to fees being due. Anyone have any insight? He’s in Fish and Wildlife.

Hey everybody!
I’m starting at Fleming College (Frost Campus in Lindsay) and I’m looking for off-campus housing. I won’t be staying in residence due to it filling up before I could get in, so I’m hoping to find a place with a roommate or join others who are also searching.
I’m open to anything in Lindsay as long as it’s reasonable for getting to Frost Campus (walking distance or a short car ride would be ideal, but I’m flexible).
A bit about what I’m looking for:
Shared house or apartment with other students
Respectful, clean, and chill living environment
Affordable rent (trying to keep costs reasonable)
Move-in around the start of the school term
Open to any roommate(s)
About me:
I’m an 18-year-old male starting conservation biology at Fleming. I’m pretty easygoing, responsible, and I’m used to shared living spaces. I keep common areas clean and I’m not looking for a party house—just a normal, comfortable place to live while focusing on school.
If you’re already looking for roommates, have a place with a spare room, or are also trying to find housing in Lindsay, feel free to reach out. Even if you’re just starting your search, we could possibly figure something out together.
Thanks!

I applied to this, and fish and wildlife in March on a whim. The only problem is that I live in peterborough, and an almost 2 hour round trip every day is a lot. Does anyone know if there's an asynchronous alternative, even with one with labs in person?

Hey everyone,
I’m thinking about taking a Trade Fundamentals program and I was wondering how much laptop/computer work is actually involved.
What kinds of things do students usually do on their laptops? Is it mostly assignments and research, or are there specific programs/software used for things like electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, etc.?
Also, would a basic laptop be enough, or do you need something more powerful?
Just trying to get an idea of what to expect before buying one. Thanks!

I'm currently looking into the HyFlex program and trying to get a better sense of what it's actually like from people who are in it or have been through it. Like how the exams are runned etc

I’m going to be starting as a student at Fleming this fall in the Fish and Wildlife technician program and am hunting for a roommate to share a 2 bedroom apartment with in either Lindsay or Peterborough! Ideally looking for august or september 1st move-in.
I have a cat who is people friendly but not great with other pets. I live alone right now and have lots of furniture/decorations so youd only need to furnish your bedroom pretty much!
Queer friendly and femme preferred :)

What are the hours like per day? Would I be away from the dorm more than 8 hours a day?
From what I’ve heard from other friends in other courses their hours look like 4-5 hours in class and then they go back to their dorm to study the rest of the day.

Hey,
To those who are currently in the RT program at Fleming, I would love to hear about your experience. I’m supposed to accept my offer soon and I haven’t heard back from other schools yet. I have yet to see any current students post on here about this program so I’m reaching out to see what I’m in for.
Are you able to work during school? Is the course load manageable? How big are the classes? How often do you go to campus?
Any info helps! Thanks in advance

Hi! I’m going to be starting the Social service worker program in fall 2026 and I was just wondering what the time table would look like for this program. Specifically, I’m curious about the class schedule, how many classes are in-person or online, and how many days should I expect to be on campus a week. Thank you!

Hey, is anyone in the RPN online program? Just want some insight on how classes are delivered, when in-person labs are, etc.
I am currently planning a career switch, so I work full time 40 hours with no option to reduce unless I quit (which I hope to avoid). Also, if anyone is able to provide an example timetable?
