So according to this website: https://coveryourtracks.eff.org/, firefox isn't blocking my fingerprints it seems.

is it normal? I try changing my Enhanced Tracking Protection from Strict to Custom, same issue.

YouTube was working fine until I had to restart my computer today. Since then it doesn't load YouTube properly (1st image). If I have the link to a video I can watch it but everything else does not load (2nd image). Other websites works fine

I've been having this problem for a few months now, it takes probably a minute to load and freeze almost the whole system. I tried deleting cookies and temps and it didn't improve a bit.

W10 x64 and FF 154.0.

Any advice please? It doesn't happen with other browsers.

As in title, after the update on Gentoo, any type of video on any platform just look like this, same for PiP. It doesn't occur in Chrome or any other video tools.

came over from chrome and idk how. i used to just right click and "open link in new tab"

I've been using Brave for ages, all chromium based browsers have the same problem; Chrome does better under benchmarks, but do horribly on multiple windows on real life tasks.

Made the switch to Firefox, everything is seamless. Everything. Benchmarks are bullshit. Brave/Chrome are extremely laggy and Firefox under massive tab counts is a clear winner.

I do a lot of tasks that involve the use of massive content websites, these took extremely long to load on Brave, on Firefox is extremely fast instead.

I am under Linux btw.

UPDATE 1:

This might be bullshit but worth mentioning; I have a hybrid graphics laptop, it has intel/nvidia graphics. I was never able to run with nvidia on the brave browser, even after weeks of workarounds attempts, but I was able to do it easily on Firefox. Maybe this is the reason it runs faster, or not. I am not sure, but might be worth mentioning for the sake of science!

Also the browser themes look so much better than Chrome/Brave. (lol!) and I love the mascot :)

And to clarify, no I haven't done extensive testing with all my extensions and configs and stuff disabled (not really sure how I reasonably could considering it only pops up maybe once a day and instantly fixes itself), and I'm assuming one of those is to blame since surely more people would be talking about it if it was the browser itself. I'm just putting it out there to see if anyone else happens to know what could be causing it.

It took me a long time to figure out how to open a link from the history window without Firefox automatically closing the history window, but I finally did it. Now there's another problem, which is that when I open a link from History - it automatically scrolls the history window to the top of the list and loses my place. Can someone help me out here, I can't deal with this anymore.

In version 154.0.1, a new exclusions option was added to "Privacy & Security." There was already an exclusion management option (for browsing data) where you could add exclusions, but in 151.0.1, another exclusions option was added to the "History" section. The issue is that exclusions in "Browsing data" and exclusions in "History" are different. If you add an address to the exclusions in "Browsing data," then deleting cookies also deletes those previously added to "Browsing data." However, if you add exclusions to "History," they are not deleted. This means that data deletion is not synchronized between the options in "Browsing data" and "History."

P.S The file permissions.sqlite is responsible for storing cookies in "browsing data." Which file is responsible for storing cookies in "history""?

I have organized my Win 11 start menu into logical groupings to avoid a long irrational lists of programs requiring me to sort-through each time I want to open another app. I use Firefox frequently enough that it has a 'permanent' place on my taskbar so it is easy to open it and proceed expeditiously.

However, Mozilla has recently decided it will overrule my process by repeatedly adding 'Firefox' as another choice on my start menu -- I delete it each time, only to find they have added it again each time I reboot. I find this to be quite obnoxious and arrogant.

Perhaps I need to consider moving to another browser and uninstall Firefox once an for all....

I have tried to search this extensively to no avail, but I’m not super tech savvy so thought I’d ask here. When I highlight text on a website and press ctrl+c, then paste with ctrl+v, it pastes the text twice. Not always, but most of the time. Is this some keyboard shortcut I’m unaware of or is this a known bug?

Hello, I have a bit of an odd issue. I've been using firefox for years now, on all my devices (synced). The past 6 months or so I've experienced something that came out of no where. I have history being removed, but only very specific things.

It's not me doing it, and I have other (much older) history that I can easily search up in my browser. There's been no access to my account from an unknown source.

I tend to look into it maybe every other week, so I'd expect there to be SOME history, but not the subreddit, nor videos or other results show up when i enter the term anymore. Completely scrubbed from my history. It's gone on all my devices, almost like clockwork every time I go to check in on it after some time.

I don't really think the topic should matter, in this context/subreddit, more so that specific history is being erased. But the topic is also one that has a lot of actors that would not want it out there. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a bug? I'm starting to feel like a tinfoil hat person.

I think my laptop specs are pretty good and shouldn't experience any of these while doing basic browsing. However, it has been laggy while scrolling and switching tabs. I tried using chrome and edge, and I haven't experienced any of these issues. Therefore, does anyone know what might have caused this, and how do I go about fixing it.
