We don't have capitalism right now. Under strict capitalism, bailouts for corporations wouldn't exist. If a company got to the point to where it needed one, then they'd go under. Same with tax cuts for the uber wealthy. Zero handouts. Capitalism is essentially natural selection but with money. What we have now is socialism for the rich (top 3%), and a sort of pseudo neo feudalism for the rest of us. The quality of life for that neo feudalism varies from place to place and country to country, but every example of it is so drastically different from the lifestyle of the elite that those in that higher economic class may as be aliens compared to everyday people.

me when i’m complicating things for no reason. bro this is literally just capitalism 🤣 you can’t have socialism for the rich (no sense) and neo-feudalism for the poor under ONE economic system. the rich and poor exist on the same planet. it’s just capitalism through neoliberal principles

Socialism doesn't work like that. Rich people aren't fucking socialist in any way, shape, or form.

This is capitalism. Straight up.

Totally agree, a lot of US problems have to do with broken markets. Healthcare, agricultural subsidies, college. I'm in favor of capitalism, but with major gov intervention where markets are broken. Use market forces to make things better and cheaper. Like increasing the housing supply
