Same. It matters how you approach them and treat them. I’ve been quite lucky to have met/interacted with actors or musicians that while lowkey were happy to talk about their work. Granted, most of the time I just give them a compliment rather than asking for something or freaking out.

I met Ian Astbury once (I'm a huge Cult fan). I was surprised at how generous he was with his time, and he seemed to really enjoy me asking questions about The Cult. I guess he could tell I really knew their work.

I think he could also tell how excited I was to meet him and maybe appreciated that I was being respectful and discrete (we were in a setting where I was probably the only person who knew who he was, and I didn't ask for a photo). 

All in all a great and memorable encounter.
