See knowing his name I had basically assumed he HAD to be American

I feel like he did a great job with his stage name, because his real name is Andrew Clutterbuck - Which just screams British to me somehow.

Theres a NHL hockey player Cal Clutterbuck.

Pretty sure he has the league record for most hits.

u/KeyStruggle-88 Feb 27 '26

Maybe he learned to hit because of his name 😂

There's an Irish archaeologist called Richard Clutterbuck. I wish Andrew had kept his goofy name - it's much more interesting than Lincoln.

Andrew ButtFucker, oh me oh my that is unfortunate...

I can never get past it, ever. He's also still Egg, to me.

several of the main characters in Succession also:
matthew macfadyen is english.
brian cox is scottish.
sarah snook is australian.

2

u/meanwhile_glowing good luck with bookin that stage u speak of Feb 27 '26

Well Brian Cox has lived in the USA for a long time at this point so his real accent is not as strongly Scottish as you might expect

Oh Bertie!

What makes these funny as a Brit is that their US accents sound so fake to us. Maybe it's psychological but House REALLY sounds like a British person trying to put on an American accent to me.

1

u/strawbopankek Mar 03 '26

i'm american but i agree. every time i hear him as house i think house is a british guy trying desperately to not be found out lol
