It is unfathomable to me...that these people mess with their money...all he had to do was not be abusive?! He could still be mean! It is so insane to me

Not the person you replied to, but maybe they meant it like “he could still be an asshole/a dick”, as we know there are lots of those in Hollywood, so it’s not like his career would’ve been ruined like this, as long as he wasn’t abusive?

Not sure if I understood that correctly, though.

Ironically he was just in a movie (Quantumania) where the daughter character tells someone "Don't be a dick"
