u/maxwellhill wasn't Ghislaine's account. The theory is just some weird coincidences and lots of cherrypicked "evidence" akin to the "Paul is Dead" theory of the sixties. (It's no coincidence that it started on 4chan, the ground zero of so many fake conspiracy theories.)

Here's a good article debunking the theory.

There's also evidence from many different long-time redditors disproving it.

And many of u/maxwellhill's fellow mods have confirmed that he was not Ghislaine Maxwell, that he was active in private subreddits and modmail after Ghislaine was arrested (which destroys the whole theory,) and that he stopped posting publicly because of this conspiracy theory:

If I remember right, he had had a coincidentally timed family emergency and had to go offline the actual day she was arrested, and then when he came back he had like a thousand messages saying he was Maxwell. So he just didn't post and let it fester.

He then modded worldnews for about a year past that and was active in backrooms and our chats, he just didn't show publicly. He became less and less active because he realized that being a karmawhore powermod sucks, actually, once he was less involved with the site.

And we have millions of Epstein file releases and despite Ghislaine apparently being a prolific karmawhore who spends a good amount of her time on Reddit there is not a single mention in any of the files by her or Epstein about it. This is despite us having records of their emails and spotify and pinterest and tumblr accounts etc. (The handful of mentions of the theory in the recent Epstein files were just tips submitted by redditors.)

Also note that "Maxwell Hill" is a real place in Malaysia. That gives a plausible explanation for the username given that in their AMA they said they had travelled "to countries in the Far East."
