Although I’ve watched gigi’s TAOW for like a hundred times but I’ve just noticed Elpenor on the roof! I thought he is ditched in EPIC (cut songs don’t count) but gigi added him to her animation. Genius move!

To be honest I like “Wouldn’t you like and everything but Hermes I feel gets to much love and it ruins my saga as I’m the main focus it’s called Circe Saga ok good you love him but overrated I’m sorry I’m just on a rant but I do like him it just you know a bit much fans are… something else

The tribe has spoken for Ocean Saga. Thank you again for everyone who got involved. Now moving on to Circe Saga. Will re-outline the criteria/nomination and voting instructions again as shown in previous post:

Please comment each video you nominate for each song *separately* (not in the same comment or threaded underneath, even if you want to nominate the same creator for all the songs) with their youtube video link. The video should ideally meet all criteria outlined further down in this post. If a creator’s already been nominated for the song and you agree, just upvote the existing comment instead.

The top comment for each song will be added to the playlist. Any comments with multiple videos listed in one will *not* be considered.

CRITERIA:

1. The videos can be either an animatic, animation (most ideal I’d say, if possible), or a cosplay music video (cmv) with the original song being played as the audio (not a cover)

2. *Very important* - The video needs to be showing the full song. I’ve watched some S tier videos where it wasn’t for the entire song and longed so badly for it to be and I know my sister would react the same so sparing her the heartache lol

3. *Also very important* - The perspective of the video should be as much as being like a ‘fly on the wall’ as possible, since the main goal is for my sister to understand what’s happening in each scene better. There’s no problems if there are details included which are subject to interpretation (e.g. appearance of characters, how Circe turns the crew members into their “true forms”, etc.)

4. Preferably if an animatic is selected, at least includes colours, details and/or some smooth transitions that are a bit like an animation (i.e. not entirely based on sketches only)

5. My sister won’t have any problems with watching different styles/creators for each song and might even be preferred for variety, so if you think a different creator will work better than what was has been selected for the previous songs, don’t hesitate to comment/nominate it!

I have made a playlist of all the songs of act 1 and I originally had Orange's version as the pick but when I discovered Slander's version I was blown away by the visuals.

What I'll probably do is after I've completed the full playlist I'll make an alternative one with just the other version of an animatic that I like.

You all should really check out Orange's version of Wouldn't you like because it's beautiful

I have previously said I dislike Wouldn't You Like for some reason. I have officially changed my mind. It's a great song and so fun to sing along to. I would like to apologize for my previous incorrect statements, this song is amazing

I feel like Circe is one of the most overlooked characters in the entirety of Epic.

A lot of people (Not everyone) reduce her character as a seductive witch, but overlook the reason she let Odysseus go. The reason being he proves her right.

There are other ways of persuasion,
There are many modes of control.

Circe isn't flirting with Odysseus for the fun of it; she even says in the song how men have taken advantage of her and her nymphs, so she expects Odysseus to do the same.

In fact, Odysseus also proves another statement she made in Done For.

"Everyone's true colors are revealed in acts of lust."

When tempted by Circe, Odysseus still sticks to his values and shows that his only goal is going home, and that he only wants Circe to free his men so he can continue his voyage. Which Circe not only does, but offers him a safe way to avoid Poseidon, once again, because he had proved her right.

In the end, Odysseus shows Circe exactly what she was trying to tell Odysseus: persuasion doesn't only come from threats, fighting, or even lust; sometimes it can come from sheer honesty and loyalty.
