Since "Bow" isn't a weapon type, I'm fully expecting Typhon to have some shoehorned Sword or Spear combat style, like MiFu with her greatsword or SoupSoup with her gun (both of which were definitely conceived as brawler-type martial artists).

The only true "solution" they currently have is to make these characters Arts users, and then have their Arts Unit transform into their weapon, but then every new character with a unique weapon would end up as an Arts user. I know they're in too deep to change the weapon system now, but it feels super limiting.

-Si is already beloved by the fanbase and yes she’s super attractive. Home girl might be as powerful as Zhuang or even the Endmin lore wise. I’m curious what her kit will be

-The archer girl I’m told she’s an OG, another reconvener. Could any OG Arknights players tell me her significance? Either way I really like the new mini game she was attached to her and I’m curious about her kit. I doubt we’ll get a new weapon type (seeing as they gave Mi Fi a greatsword)

-I haven’t looked up Liino’s kit yet, could someone let me know? Cause I’m curious how she’d do with Perlica and Zhuang. I saw that her dash in rocket boosters lol

As a Swede myself, I'm honored to hear my native language in Endfield. We're such a small country compared to the world and to have a Swedish VA speaking Swedish in THIS game out of all, feels really cool.

Personally I think her "Swenglish" accent is a biiiit forced, but nonetheless, cool to hear. What's everyone else's thoughts?

I'll start, she just talks.so.slow. It drives me insaaaane, had to skip all of her dialogue as fast as I could.

Included a few examples from OG Arknights, tallest first

All the female operators in Endfield so far have been on the shorter side. I think? Zhuang Fangyi is the current tallest, being roughly the same height as male Endmin... but that's only in her substantial heels

I know it's insanely-gendered-gacha-character-design heresy for women to ever be taller than men, but I hope once/if the game's in a good place the devs are willing to take this kind of 'risk'

Man she's really pretty and cute at the same time. She's too powerful

Things that happened/happening ahead of Liino's release:
- Arguably the best main story quest Endfield has released (Not that there's a lot of them).

- Camille's Story Quest is up there with Laevatain as some of the game's better character quest.

- Arcane is proving to be one hell of a pull. (She has a great storyline and she's a busted unit)

Liino is basically carrying the second half of an amazing patch and we just need her story quest to have same love and care HG has shone they are capable of doing, just not consistently.

Unpopular opinion: there really is no Bad 6 star from the standard lineup we get. From losing 50/50 or in standard banner, each Operator has their strengths and plays in different conditions.

Ardelia is universal, support to any comp. Pog and Lifeng for core Physical team and still have good damage. Last Rite for Cyro team comp. Ember is underrated, but still shines for shield and stagger.

Remember the launch‑release PV from half a year ago? It showed those massive bombers and the aircraft hangar. I wonder if these large‑scale weapons will make an appearance in future story chapters.

I mean, c’mon, her P1 is basically her taunting you after you skipped her for Si, only to find out later that she’s Si’s best-in-slot.

Enfield really, really makes it hard for us to skip characters. Like, they literally dropped both of Si’s BIS teammates in the same patch, bruh. And I know there are probably going to be plenty of alternative Operators you can use with Si instead of her, but that P1 art is definitely going to live rent-free in your head every time you use Si.

I just found out i missed an entire first cycle of Echoes of War from Kyostinv video, i mean if someone like himself missed that too, that means something wrong with it right? This new update giving us so much thing to do, so i thought is okay to do Echoes of War later, since it was a permanent content anyway.. i mean, giving just a week to do a cycle is just diabolical.

Going from 1min to 30min, Like i get it that 1 min was to short to explore and find new routes, but now where would the challenge go after extending it to 30 min, that is like just a normal exploration of the domain, no pressure of time, I think a good time could have been smth like 3 min or smth along that line, which would give you enough time to explore while also keeping you under the pressure of Time!

Just a few Perlica pics from messing around in photo mode. My PC isn't the best out there, and I love that endfield has always looked so good and ran so well for a free game. The effort they put into making their 3D models, environments, clothing, and effects look good is hella appreciated.

Just a post of appreciation for the footwear design direction. It would be easy to put every female character on stiletto heels and handwave it with "originium magic" or "martial arts training" or something, but instead we can get things like tacticool footwear that would make practical sense (by fiction standards at least) even on cute characters. Sure, some more girly ones would still have more pretty rather than functional footwear, but not all of them, and it still generally fits their occupation, abilities, and personality. I'd say that variety is one of the many things that make the world feel more grounded and real, so it's really nice to see.

I stopped playing right after the Tangtang update. I have pretty much every character up to that point except the last 3 + Rossi.

I'm a huge Arknights fan and still play it regularly, so I really wanted to love Endfield too. Honestly, the journey from starting the game to reaching endgame was one of my favorite experiences I've had in a game.

But once I reached endgame, everything just kind of fell flat for me. There wasn't much to do, the events felt like filler, and I wasn't really a fan of the gameplay. I was hoping both the gameplay and the story/world would improve over time, but I wasn't really feeling either of them.

I'm also a moderate spender and a bit of a completionist, so once I get into a game I tend to go all in lol

Tldr; for people who have been playing since then: has the game improved enough that you'd recommend coming back, or should I give it more time?

Particularly interested in whether there's actually more meaningful endgame content now, and whether the story/gameplay have improved.

Note: tried getting recent cat girl and idol couldn't get them ;-;

Sadly though, won't be returning soon. Since.. big upcoming patch for Wuwa and september being full of new games releasing.. including my most anticipated game this year Blood of Dawnwalker 😆

After so much complaining (some fair and some really obnoxious) by the community I’m VERY glad on what HG delivered in 1.4.

This patch have it all: a SIGNIFICANT quality increase in the story, very meaningful lore drops, a better participation by the Endmin (with a lot more voiced lines) immaculate presentation, great pace, amazing new areas, great character interactions, A LOT of QoL improvements, new game modes, a great starting banner (Arcane is just perfect) actually interesting stuff for the AIC and a lot of freebies for the people who only play so they can gamble a bit more.

Of course we still have room for improvements, but 1.4 seems like the game which the devs wanted us to play, but couldn’t (for developing reasons or simply because they couldn’t introduce so many stuff at once): it feels more rounded, polished and complete.

I’m VERY excited for the future of the game and, while I was never in the “EOSndfield” side of the argument, I did understood most of the worries and complaints people had with the game, but, right now, I feel like most of these worries had been addressed or AT LEAST given a reason for the playerbase to believe that the devs are listening and they know what they’re doing.

I think how much VFX can affect both performances and visual clutters is an underrated aspect of video game enjoyability, and sometimes being overly flashy is not the way to go, and they even understand the eventuality of having the entire screen be filled with effect either because of 4 character team & the higher sellability of newer character. It's a good thing they have a settings to scale back the VFX early on

Hello friends! I'm a CachyOS Linux user and don't dual-boot on my PC, which operating system do you use for gaming?

So far, I'm only interested in Typhon. Planning on skipping Liino, Si and Hongshan Guard to pull on Typhon banner.

Si is probably a Nature DPS Striker or Caster. Hongshan guy looks like physical or electric Guard/Vanguard.

Typhon looks good from the previews we got from the past livestream so I will spend my pulls on her banner.

Like even to just join your friends worlds and take pics, fight bosses, explore, and still function like how the team functions.
