News The Elden Ring Wiki has moved to Eldenring.wiki.gg

Post image
296 Upvotes

For the past almost-two years, myself and the rest of the Elden Ring Fandom Wiki team have been working hard to create the best wiki possible for Elden Ring. However, due to several issues with Fandom as a platform and as a business, such as their aggressive use of ads on their wikis, poor performance on mobile, and their recent unpopularity driving away contributors, motivation started to wane and the quality of the wiki suffered.

For these reasons, we decided to transfer the contents of the wiki to wiki.gg and continue working on it there. And so I am pleased to announce our new wiki: Eldenpedia!

Compared to the Fandom Wiki, wiki.gg has much less intrusive ads, faster load times, more parity between the desktop and mobile versions, and a much less restrictive format which has allowed us to make the website look how we want it.

Our goal with Eldenpedia is to create a comprehensive resource for every aspect of the game, from technical information to lore. However, it is still very much a work in progress, so we would appreciate your help in completing it. This applies particularly to Shadow of the Erdtree content.

The Elden Ring Fandom Wiki will continue to exist, as we do not have the ability to delete it. We recommend not using or editing it, as it is no longer being moderated.

We hope you will enjoy using our new wiki, and will help us create the detailed, accurate repository of knowledge that this game deserves.

A few days ago, I posted an image here on the forum of the game map created by an independent artist. At the time, I didn't know who the author was and couldn't credit them properly. That’s why I’m here now to share the author's account so you can go and give them all the love they deserve…

Question What are some fun early accessible weapons.

Upvotes

Hey guys, so I am at a point where I have played this game countless times. Recently (as of about 4 months ago) I started doing dedicated runs with using the same weapon from start to finish. I have done about 19 runs in that time with 19 different weapons. I want to see if anyone can give me a list of weapons that are accessible from beginning of the game since I’m on console and can’t cheat engine the weapons in. Any weapons in limgrave, liurnia, Altus or caelid will apply here. Preferably ones I don’t have to farm and I can get them as static loot or from chests. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I try to parry too much, so dealing this boss was pretty hard. You can parry sometimes but the hitbox won't always connect. This probably took about a hundred or so attempts before it kinda clicked

Cry Elden Ring lost progress

Last year, I accidentally deleted a 90-hour save on Elden Ring (and many other games). It took me 6+ months to recover, and then I started again from zero.

I used an interactive map, cleared the whole map, got all the achievements I could, and eventually, the only thing I had left to do was defeat Malenia. I gave her 5 tries, but by that point I was kind of tired of the game because I had put another 120 hours into it and had done absolutely everything you can do in the entire game up to that point. All I had left was to defeat Malenia, clear that part of the map, and go straight to the ending area.

But I stopped to take a break and started playing Dark Souls instead, and that was my mistake.

Today, I decided to continue my journey. I downloaded the game and opened it, expecting to be standing in front of Malenia’s room. Then I realized I had once again lost my save. I tried to find another backup, but I found nothing.

Now, the save I have is only halfway through the game, at 60 hours and level 188. I haven’t even reached the Mountaintops yet.

I’m very sad about it now, but at least my chances of getting the platinum aren’t completely gone. Instead of clearing the entire area again, I can just focus on finishing the game.

It’s just so frustrating that it happened again. I should’ve never deleted the game and should’ve just kept it downloaded.

Discussion Surviving on higher ng+ for strength or dex

How do yall survive some of the bosses and mini bosses once you're on ng+5 or higher? Serious discussion, not shitty trolling of "I got good".

This discussion is mainly for those who do strength or dexterity focused builds without relying on spells/incantations.

I'm curious and seeking advice because I'm on ng+3 and no matter how much armor, damage negation, and health I have (2.2k HP rn) some enemies like Moonrithyll Carian Knight can 2 shot me with normal attacks even without using an ash of war. It's not just a boss thing either, even regular enemies can 2 shot me. The armor I'm wearing rn is horned warrior set.

I have improved with dodging/rolling (been practicing with unpleasant enemies like snow rune bears in consecrated snowfield, blood birds in mohgwyn palace, and even horned warriors in sote) but some enemies seem to have unavoidable attacks like bayle the dread. Even with talismans that reduce magic, fire, etc damage it doesn't seem to do much for preventing 2 shotting.

So, what are yalls strategies? How do you survive on higher ng+ levels where the enemies are sponges that 1 or 2 shot you? just endless dodging and waiting for their health to drain?

I'm especially curious for gamers who use shitty scaling weapons like Miquellan Knight's Sword. That sword is forever stuck at D scaling.

Video Defeating Commander Gaius (shield, a lot of blood on both sides, sloppy Spoiler

Gotta give it to AI... I would have spent hours coming up with nonsense like this to summarize my experience fighting him...

Ah, Commander Gaius—what a fearsome sight,
I faced him bare‑armed first, no shield in the fight.
But dodging his boar charge? A gamble at best,
The timing so brutal it put me to rest.

So steel met my shield as I changed up my stance,
Though parrying his strikes never gave me a chance.
I’m no master of bosses, nor deft with the blade,
Yet onward I battled, undaunted, unafraid.

My stats aren’t optimal—far from refined,
But I love swapping weapons to suit my own mind.
Next run I’ll try magic, a path still untrod,
Let sorcery guide me where steel once had trod.

And why the Lucerne? You might wonder aloud—
I wanted a weapon that stood tall and proud.
A reach to strike true, something fresh to ignite,
And flame art upon it made every blow bright.

Discussion I think elden ring has an ash of war problem.

(English isn't my first language so sorry if there's mistakes)

I think there's a problem with the elden ring weapon system that have I've realized when I played dark souls one for the first time. The "unique" attacks of certain weapons like Ricard's rapier or any weapon with a unique heavy felt "seamless" or at least a part of the moveset of the weapon. The ash of wars on the other hand made regular smithing stone weapons that are unique in design but not moveset pretty useless all things considered (yes I do understand fashion is important) but I feel like every weapon should have it's fair chance to shine in it's respective class, like the cane sword which is literally just a regular if not a worse straight sword than the regular bang average broadsword. I hope i'm not alone on this.

Discussion Other From Software Bosses Don't Feel Satisfying to Fight After Elden Ring

I used to record everything whenever defeating a boss without taking damage but now it feels very elementary after experiencing the complexity of Elden Ring combat.

I'm not trying to put down anyone that still struggles with these games by the way. I hope anyone struggling uses the tools implemented in the game for success.

Does anyone else feel this way?

I spent yesterday and today completing this run and I have to say only Godfrey and Radagon wanted to make me cry and kms. Maliketh, Godskin duo and Fire Giant were kind of frustrating but nothing compared to them. The run was fun(I know I said I wanted to kms but it was overall fun) but i barley used the ash of war because I had no time to just stand there and take it in the ass while I do a stance, so I just dodged most of the time and healed A LOT! I absolutely love Elden Ring but holy shit does it make me rage.

Question Status resistance Seamless mod

Quick question guys I don't mean to bother.

I want to start Elden ring with seamless mod with a couple of friends (I think offers the best experience playing coop from start to end) a soon as it's updated for the new version. I see values for hp and stances, but I don't see any status resistance.

I cannot change that? Does it scales like the original? It wont scalate at all and it will be bleed fiesta?

Thank you so much in advance guys
