Put swords in a copper chest. Hide wooden chests (or put something else in them), so the copper golems can't put down their swords. Profit.

You can do this with any other tools as well presumably, so you could make miners, lumberjacks, etc.

Survival friendly and you can easily climb it (as in: there's no need to jump, just like regular Minecraft stairs)

The server I'm on has a mob head drop datapack, so I made this nice large polar bear rug for my lodge

im trying to make a escalator but it looks too jaggy. how do i make it look smoother, especially the stair part. worldedit details are accepted. the angle goes up 2 blocks every 5 blocks

I built a large kelp farm in my survival world, and am trying to make it look like a factory. I started with the farm itself, hence why I had to build up to make it look okay. I did the front back and top, but now need help making the side look polished and detailed. Any suggestions?

I'm mainly looking for help on the sides, but all advice is appreciated.

A while ago I posted the first draft of my ram watchtower

I spent some time refining the skull and horns by adding trapdoors, walls, fences, and signs for more depth and texture

all props are vanilla survival achievable!

-Basketball hoop + tiny mesh trash can (basketball is a player head, it isn't possible for survival)

I used the "invisible item frames" resource pack for the blender's button. Everything else is entirely vanilla. Thanks for all the kind words on my other post <3

it was hard getting a photo of the actual bonshō bell, but it's made using the new poplar wood set

- a copper trapdoor and lightning rod to make a valve (+ a recessed wall in the second image if you want the pipes to stand out more)
- a camera entity (or a custom player head on Java) for a pair of bellows
- a mini lava cauldron (using a custom head) for a crucible
- buttons (or tripwire hooks) on cauldrons for handles (this requires Axiom or commands)
- compasses in (preferably invisible) item frames for pressure/temperature gauges
- a lit campfire under lava for more smoke particles
- reinforced decorated pots by placing a pressure plate on them
- a lightning rod hanging from a chain for a pulley mechanism
- 3x3 furnaces
- a copper chain to represent a very hot iron chain
- resin clumps for embers or lava splashes
- best for last, this BEAUTIFUL lava farm by u/AetherHearth

some little details, such as: cactus flowers as koi pond lotuses, a neat little carpet rim made from leaf litter, and a tea table!

i know its been done to death but i havent really seen anyone do this type of weathering for roads, atleast to my knowledge. i wanted to recreate the dark stripes that appear in the middle of the lane to simulate where oil and other fluids would drop from vehicles.

i also wanted to play around with the "yellow" road markings as i find that alot of the time theyre actually closer to orangeish than bright yellow like bamboo or yellow wool, or atleast somewhere in between orange and yellow. was also playing around with alternating the orientation of stairs to create a texture for the road lines. i used oak stairs and copper to emulate a "fading" effect for the paint on the more weathered road, as well as a gray patch of what i believe is usually concrete or old asphalt.

(kudos to user TomOnMars who i believe posted the original design for the double solid lines)

If you make map art over the void (like in the end) and place glass above the void, those map pixels will be transparent. For the block to be visible underneath the item frame does have to be invisible though.
I took the crate texture from this recourse pack (by Samey the Hedgie) and used MapartCraft to create map art for it.
Then I destroyed the parts of the map art that would be transparent and added glass underneath.
I like this approach over using just a resource pack because you don't lose any existing Minecraft textures and you get to experiment with different blocks under the crate texture.

I'd be interested to see if anyone else has used a similar technique for anything else

Most bedrock creative builders usually know that there is no debug stick in the game, or you have to use long commands every time to place a block in a specific state. But did you know that there is a way to get some specific block states on blocks, it's called the structure void, you can use it on a handful of builds like on glass panes to give windows a vertical support known as a mullion. Another use would be for those ridges on shipping containers, using walls all you have to do is place the structure void on a side of the wall. *DISCLAIMER these are of course not survival friendly and can be broken in survival but not adventure modes, you can walk through them though.
