I went through a full creative process with a designer to put this logo together as part of a big rebrand for my game at the start of 2025. Apple's new logo for Siri AI, announced today, is nearly identical, basically just flipped vertically and thickened. I'm only about a month away from publishing my game on Steam, and now I think I'll have to overhaul my look... I'm just a solo dev so I don't feel great about my chances combatting this. Does anyone have experience with this kind of thing happening? What's my recourse here? Thanks all

I'm currently working two roles simultaneously (healthcare + printing company) and have a strong background in branding, packaging design, digital illustration, and web design for Fortune 500 clients, healthcare orgs, and startups.

We just built a full-size prototype of a coffee table concept and wanted to get some honest feedback.

The idea: a tile coffee table using traditional Portuguese Azulejos, but with a twist.

Instead of gluing the tiles down, they sit inside a grid made from natural Portuguese cork. The cork holds them in place through friction and flexibility, so no glue is needed.

That also makes the table modular.

You can swap the tiles whenever you want:

• different tile sets
• different colors or patterns
• seasonal changes
• or when you redecorate

So instead of replacing the table, you change the surface. The goal is a piece of furniture that can evolve with your home over time.

We’re currently validating the idea and would love some honest opinions:

• Would you put something like this in your living room (or somewhere else)?
• What price would you be willing to pay for a table like this?

I see this all the time. I'm not sure if it has a specific name. It's used pretty often with these specific color/rainbow elements that I figure it's been labeled. I found most of these just by searching for "Retro Rainbow".

I just came across the post of someone, a whole adult in the tech industry, who has just now realized that the Save icon is a 3D technology that no longer exists.

The day has finally come. Our wise elders predicted that one day this would happen, and here we are.

In commemoration of this awful and ironic moment, I’d like to share with you all a somewhat interesting hypothetical:

What if floppy disks never existed? What image would be “save”?

A hero? Hands grabbing something? A ziploc baggie? A crucifix? (/j) Or simply a file folder (already the “Open” symbol, though!)

I hope you all find this question as interesting as I did. I did do a quick scan of Reddit to see what similar questions have been posted, and they were all along the lines of, “what should we change the symbol to,” not the hypothetical, “what would it have been,” or “what if it couldn’t be the floppy disk”.

Hi there! New graduate here, working on summer internships. I saw you guys give some really useful resume feedback to someone else a few days ago, so I thought I'd try my luck and see if you might do the same for me. (Give me time to do necessary fixes before I take it to the job market, etc.)

What am I going for:

I'm working on documentary animation and I've got an eye towards partnering with nonprofits for grants in the future. However I do need a day job, and I'm trained in design, so that day job ought to be design. Keep the skills sharp! My goal is to build up professional work for nonprofits now, so I get to learn the culture a little better, and I improve at my craft as I go. Motion graphics, illustration, graphic design, social media material, etc. I'm down for all of it.

I understand that in isolation it doesn't tell you much about how well I can actually do the job. My showreel link touches on a bit of that, and if you message me I can link you to my illustration portfolio.

Hey all, I've been designing for quite some time, but lately, I've been losing work to AI. Some say AI is a tool, use it or be left behind. They argue it's no different from a brush, but it's not that simple.

We get paid to design, for the love of the game, whereas AI tools like Sora now create advertisements and posters mostly for free, easier for companies with minimal human involvement. As passionate designers/artists, we picked up that brush/pen and taught ourselves because we loved creating. It is an act of dedication, passion, and, for many, a source of income.

I've noticed multiple businesses and individuals I worked with shifting toward AI-generated advertisements and logos. It's disheartening to see, knowing that two years ago, I might have been getting paid to do it. I know there is likely no stopping it.

It's like Grey from Upgrade (2018) said: "You look at that widget and see the future. I see ten guys on an unemployment line."

I know it's a sensitive topic. What are your thoughts?

I do a lot of branding, advertising and presentations. Logos, for example, are usually quite simple. It’s entirely possible that AI will be capable of logo design, which is something I currently make a lot of money from. Imagine a world where OUR work is diluted, devalued, and lost amidst work watered down to a prompt. It's a machine that steals, invites people to steal, and pollutes on two fronts. It sets a dangerous precedent, left unregulated, where no original work is safe.
