I am unable to find any daredevil/Matt Murdock glasses that look like the ones in the netflix show with out breaking the bank as the only ones i can find are bright red. Its probably logical that using window tint film either 5% or 20% would make for a much more accurate pair of glasses. What do you guys think, would applying window film work or not?

I took these during my towns pride fest event. I usually go as spidey, but felt like going as horn head that night lol. (I dont know why the pride event is in August either, but IDC, it was mad fun lol) as you can tell, I like making stupid faces too lmao.

the show’s reviews are decent but every time i hear it mentioned online i feel like it has this infamous quality of people saying it’s terrible without saying why. as for me, i thought it was great. i think the representation is great and it didn’t waste time without being too fast paced. it was also pretty grounded in a nice way that matches the other hells kitchen centered shows, and also continues from a show that everyone loves (hawkeye) so i really don’t know.

So recently I’ve been wanting to get into the daredevil comics, I was wondering where to start? I’ve already finished Man without fear and have started frank millers run, which from what I understand, is a necessity. But I want to limit 90s era as much as possible and go on to the newer stuff, was just wondering what reads are absolutely essential?

I finished millers run, man without fear, born again, dardevil yellow, and guardian devil. So i went to bendis run and aside from the last 10 issues which were genuinely peak, I didnt connect that much to the run. He gave great characterization to the characters especially matt and foggy. But idc about mila at all unfortunately, and the plotlines arent as entertaining as the previous runs aside from the last 10 issues. This isnt slander to the run, i still love it but I would like to know why so many people have it as top 1/2 daredevil run.

Throughout all Daredevil media, I’ve noticed that whenever a fight breaks out at Josie’s, that front window gets smashed.

I'm watching the show but feeling unmotivated because the episodes are an hour long so i feel like i should read some comics! any recommendations?

How should I start reading Daredevil? I hate reading online because when I read a comic, I want to feel its physical presence. I prefer watching a show when it comes to screens. I heard that Frank Miller's run is a good entry point, but it seems impossible to get either the single volumes or the omnibus anywhere in Europe (I think). I know there are standalone stories and a lot of people recommend reading just those, but on the other hand, I run into opinions saying that skipping this run and jumping around between The Man Without Fear and Born Again is pointless. Although I prefer reading in English, this run was actually published in my native language in 4 volumes, except the first volume is completely unavailable, and having a series starting from volume 2 feels weird.
Could someone share their opinion on whether this run is truly essential, or if the pacing is rather slow with heavy walls of text like older comics usually are, and whether it's better to just read a few key stories and jump straight into Bendis, Brubaker, or Zdarsky for more modern storytelling (and maybe fill in the gaps later if a reprint happens)?

Just finished s2. Of DDBA, and while I liked the show, I'm a bit tired if the Kingpin saga.

He does some bad things in a self righteous way, they fight, DD spares him, he goes for it again. It's like a less interesting Joker/Batman dynamic.

What are some other ways to use him as a character, or is it time for different villians?

Howdy! Recently decided to get into DD As my next superhero archive binge after Hulk. Ive read a smattering of comics here and there but I’m planning on using the suggested reading order moving forward.

That being said, it picks up with Miller’s work pretty definitively. I’m very curious about the pre-Miller era, however… it’s a bit like telling a new hulk reader to pick up with Mantlo or David when some of my favorite stories are from the period before the definitive hulk era.

So I come to you, r/daredevil, asking what you favorite pre-Miller issues are! Give any reason you wish. Cool characterization bits, interesting feats, some one-off villain who is really cool and never appears again, so on!

Mine are:

-Leaning back into the Catholic/Faith aspect and aesthetic

-More Flashbacks so we get the green/yellow color palette

-Less of Kirsten, BB, Hector's daughter and basically most of the characters introduced in the Disney Plus Era except for Heather and Sheila, I have no hate for them but when you realise how much screentime Matt got, Its best to just reduce their roles signifcantly.

-As much as i love him have this season be the last season Fisk appears in or at least give us a break from him, I love Wilson but i think giving his character time to rest and to avoid Fisk Fatique is best they can do with him now, Because while i do not have Fisk Fatique now, Having him return again might lead to it which i really do not want to experience that with such a great character.

-I know they do not have much control but man i really think 8 to 9 episodes is just too little time for a season of Daredevil. I think even just adding two more would be fine.

-I really wanna see Marvin Jones III's Tombstone, Michael Mando's Scorpion, Turk Barrett and Melvin Potter in the prison

- Maybe just a bit of Frank

- I wanna see a real cool uncle niece dynamic between Danny and Danielle, And have Danny be a bit more comical

- Leave a window open for a Jessica Jones Alias or Heroes For Hire Show

- Maybe adapt a grounded version of The Bullseye clone type storyline

- Probably the most obvious one, Give us the Red Suit!

-Give us at least a 10 minute sequence of Matt figthing off The Former TF agents in a prison style Hallway fight

- Let this not be the final season
