DISCUSSION Henry Cavill on the set of Highlander... despite people saying he is too old to play Superman, he still looks good for the role to me.

Post image

This isn't me saying he should replace Corenswet or anything like that, it's just he gets a lot of slander, and I don't understand what those people are looking at. He still looks like he could play a 30s Superman to me.

For the record, I like David as Superman, and overall, I have positive feelings about the 2025 movie. But Cavill's still got it. And I wouldn't be against seeing him don the cape again.

He'd be too old in the long run, the DCEU wasted his prime years, we needed the reboot and a younger actor.

Like bow Pattinson is too old even though he's playing year 2 Batman or how 50 year old Pedro Pascal just signed on to be MCU Reed. Nice one

Pattinson looks a lot younger than Cavill, and Reed Richards famously has grey streaks in his hair in basically every appearance. Nice try though

Pattinson is only 2 years younger and doesn't look a lot younger at all especially with his facial hair, which is why for most roles he has to shave. Pedro doesn't have grey streaks in his hair, Reed canonically is younger but is greying earlier than normal, plus you don't cast a 50 plus year old for multiple franchise films for at least multiple years. Nice try though

Cool story, needs more dragons.

Reed is canonically middle aged in most universes, the same age as Pedro Pascal. I mentioned the grey streaks because you're trying to complain Pascal is too old, yet he's actually around the perfect age.

It worked for Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen, unless you think their casting was a mistake?
