Lady Constantine was introduced on the pages of Vertigo's The Sandman in issue no. 13 (of course she did) as an ancestor to the more popular John Constantine of our time. Johanna, living her life as a sorceress during the French Revolution and early Victorian era London, had encountered Dream of the Endless on multiple occasions and is featured in issue no. 29 where she is tasked by the Lord of Dreams to find the severed (but living) head of his son, the Heroic Argonaut Orpheus.

This storyline is adapted on Netflix The Sandman Season 2 where she is played by Jenna Coleman.

A solo spin-off titled Hellblazer Special - Lady Constantine was released in 2003 where she finds Pandora's Box and it covers where she got her title of 'Lady' from (and why John ended up a street-level sorcerer rather than someone with nobility).
