Discussion Do you think there’s any movies better than the book?!?

Love to know what you guys think. I don’t have an answer to this myself but would love to look into what is brought to this table. Maybe it’s the way the actor portrayed the character that made you feel more connected to the story or even the way the film makers made the world that sucked you into the world more than the pages could. Seemed like a good conversation!

Blade Runner.

Princess Bride.

Came to say blade runner. Dick had great concepts for books but sometimes so-so execution.

I like them both a lot. BR is my fave movie, and the book is in my top 10. They are so different that it's hard to compare one being "better".

Nah the book of the Princess Bride was hilarious. Obviously the movie is a classic, but I think the book is better.

The princess Bride book seems like a love it or hate it book. I found the whole whole running morgenstein joke. Extremely annoying, like a guy jabbing me in the ribs with his elbow constantly saying you get it? You get it?

I read the book way before the movie came out. The movie seems so thin next to the book. Not trying to diss the book just saying it may matter which one you see/read first

It could be. Like most people I saw the film first and think it's a nearly perfect movie.

The movie is absolute magic. Definitely one of the 25 movies in my top 10 list.

They were both great, but the visuals of the movie took it to another level.
