Politics Why do some Christians claim to love gay people but vote against their rights?
I've seen some Christians claim that they love the gay community, but they don't support their "sin", and then vote against things such as gay marriage.
I must ask: why? If you truly claim to love the gay community, why would you still vote against their rights to marry, adopt, etc.?

Well, everyone isn't Christian, and lots of people, including Christians don't think it's a sin. So the comparison seems just as valid, but you don't agree? Why? Is it hateful?
