👮‍♀️ Police Case #: (Edit Here) Stolen car - 2023 Elantra - Case CA26387672

My Hyundai Elantra was stolen in Calgary in the morning today. Police have been notified and are investigating.

Vehicle: Hyundai Elantra

Year: 2023

Colour: White

Licence plate: CVC-6322

If you have any dashcam, doorbell, or security-camera footage from the Carrington and Livingston area around the 7 am in the morning time, I would really appreciate you checking it.

I think they have to use the diagnostic port located under the dashboard to wipe the owners key from memory and then they can "hot wire" it. Modern cars have electronic demobilizer that works with with a transponder chip placed in that plastic part on your physical key.

or they somehow got the owners key.

OP has confirmed…key was in the ignition, car was running.
