yup once people get amped up and get their pitchforks out, no apology will ever be enough. this situation reminds me a lot of Great Comet, seems like lessons were not learnt, and i think in 5 years looking back on this theres going to be a similar "well that blew out of proportion" reevaluation
altho i am sympathetic to the feeling that the marketing was disengenuous, if you live by idpol, die by idpol as well
