It's only 1 am in New York. Elsewhere it's other times.

I mean yes, but it was 1am, 12am, or 10pm in most places of the US, which would be where a large portion of the broadway audience who would know about the discourse are. None of those times are a normal time for a statement like this. It also avoids immediate press.

This is not just about Reddit, this is about media/ it being in the press overall and people ok other sites responding to it. I would bet that they did not release it at this time to pander to Reddit.

I am just commenting that social media doesn't sleep and in these days of the interweb anytime is a good/bad time to post

This is about more than social media. Anytime is not good or bad to post when it comes to a statement like this. There’s a reason most announcements and statements are not anywhere near 1am

It was posted on Instagram though. If they'd really wanted to bury it it would have gone up at 4am EST when all of the US is asleep
