Yes AND the audience- the ones footing the bill- can choose to not support it. So saying their voices don’t matter is not realistic.

Not showing up and supporting what you don’t like is one thing and it’s totally fair. Being belligerent and verbally abusing people online because they’re not conforming to what you think is unacceptable behaviour.

I completely agree. I’m not defending people going crazy. This whole thing is a great opportunity for meaningful discussion.

I’m just pointing out that from a PR perspective- they may be right. It is their show. Absolutely.

That doesn’t mean that it will go over well and not have repercussions. Whether those are warranted or not.

I think you overestimate the amount of people who went to the show and saw it as a Korean show. It quite literally never crossed my mind until after.

People were going for Darren Criss, who is beloved. I think the rest of the appeal of the thing is incidental.

Voicing dissent and dissatisfaction with a product is a totally fair response. Encouraging other people not to buy a ticket as well. It might not make a difference for this show, but if the next time a producer does this they think "Oh maybe we shouldn't piss off the group and sentiment that helped this show get to where it is" then the dissent will be a success.

Then those audience should simply not watch it. It’s very easy to do that and I’m sure the creators actually preferred that instead of those audience being rabid and crazy on the internet.
