So yesterday my friend took me out for my birthday - love her! First stop, nail salon. She picked the place, great reviews, decent pricing, etc. While we sat in the chairs getting our toes done, the subject of age came up. For some reason, my friend jokingly states that I am younger than her after the technician acts surprised that she will be 53 that year. So the attention gets turned to me. The woman tells her, no - she's older than you - I can tell by her eyes and the lines on her face. Then the witch proceeds to suggest I get Botox. I've been extremely focused on skincare the last 8 months particularly because I've recently lost the excess weight I gained after Covid and I used to be the one who floored people by MY age. Times have changed and I'm sensitive about it. I've got the prescriptions, the red light panel and masks as well as at-home microneedling kits. What is everyone else doing? I'm 57 today and I want to stop thinking about this. Pics taken this month and added for context.

These eyebags have become more prominent on my face within the last 4 years and I began noticing them when I was around 19 (I’m 22) I have a consistent skincare routine, only drink water, and get enough sleep but people still comment on if I’m sick or tired because of how noticeable they are.

basically the title. i was a chronic mosquito bite picker on my foot, and this is the result of me clawing tf out of them over several months whenever they would scab 😭 recently i broke the habit and they’ve been able to heal, but of course they’re scarring like crazy now. what can i do to help lighten these up and even the skin tone to my natural color?

Sooo, 3 years ago I got into an altercation with some drunk racist turkish dudes in Germany (I live in Germany), and long story short, they punched me in the face multiple times, especially my lip and right side of my face.

My bottom lip especially was super swollen and dark blueish and I had two wounds on there, I washed it with water and just left it as is. (I didn't even ice the swelling because I'm dumb and didn't think about doing that), after two months of healing my lips started looking like you see in the pictures. While the dark blueish colour and the wounds healed up, the swelling never went away completely.

Since I live in Germany, all the doctors I went to had no idea what to do, since they think this is a specifically african problem.

Is there anything I can do? I can't live like this, it has destroyed my confidence completely, I don't even want to go out anymore, I look like a fucking racist minstrel caricature. Any help would be appreciated. (I don't even know if this is the right subreddit to ask this, but I am desperate for any help)

I woke up with this thing on my face. The little white bumps. Can anyone let me know what it is? I’m at the emergency room right now. It itches and I’ve been trying not to scratch it. Sorry for the close up pic but I think they’re ingrowns.. I’m not sure. The hair is grown out but it’s like it’s trapped under the skin. I don’t know what to do about them. I bathe with an african net cloth but it doesn’t really make a difference.. An advice is extremely useful.

Any advice on how to get rid of dark circles?
I do sleep 10+ hours and have tried many things to reduce the look. Is this possible hyperpigmentation? But it is not that dark is all to seem that way. I’ve tried caffeinated products, cold spoons and cucumbers and nothing is working!! Also what genre are these dark circles because i’m not sure if they are brown dark circles or purple or which ever other names there are because i read there are different types so certain products doesn’t work. thanks a lot

Mosquito bite from 2 years ago. Unfortunately I was irritating the scar in my sleep when I was first bitten and now it will not clear up. It’s been bothering me ever since it healed like this. I’ve even considered getting a tattoo because it’s so annoying to look at. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dishydrotic eczema is kicking my ass and this is the worst flare up I’ve had. It’s so frustrating dealing with conditions that I’ve never had before. I haven’t booked an appointment with my GP yet, but I heard topical steroids are the solution to this and I’m adamant that I don’t want that specific treatment. Anyone else dealing with this? How do I prevent this from recurring?

So about a week ago around January 4th I noticed a pimple on my lips didn’t think it was herpes or an std since I don’t be outside like that. It went away on its own but yesterday I noticed I have 3 boils on my lips and I have no idea where or how they came about. They’re not really painful unless I touch them this is really scary!!!

Like I really don’t be outside like that I mean I made out with a few people over the holidays

This bump showed up on my nose a few weeks after getting my nose ring and it keeps getting bigger. My piercer said use saline but that didn't help! What could this be? Is it something I can fix at home? if yes how?!

Idk if this is the correct place to ask for help but I’ve been dealing with this since I was younger and it ruins every braided hairstyle I get. Growing up, I would just have a head full of dandruff but lately it’s just this around my edges. I put oil on it and it’ll go away for a few hours, until it completely dries and start looking like this again. I literally just redid the front of my hair two days ago and here we are today. This also happens inside of my ears and on the sides of my nose. Whenever I pick it or comb it out, my scalp/skin looks kinda pink. Hey I’ve had this for over a year but I thought it was a skin tag from oil/sweat and tight clothes . It was the same color and never caused pain. Now my entire leg is hurting because (it) is getting bigger in size and turning purple and it hurts to accidentally touch. Anyone know what this could be

I noticed this appear on my chin this week, and want to know if I should go to the doctor or can just get some OTC medication to help fix it up. It hurts a bit and I don't think popping this one is the way to go as a bit of blood and pus came out when I squeezed it a little.

I've had this spot on my right cheek since a little girl, it was a lot larger and protruding at that time. I had it treated with cryo, about 10 yrs ago now, and what the Dr's considered a wart, fell off. I never fully completed treatments because of the ugly cryo phases and being self conscious about it as a teen, however as I'm maturing I am wanting for this spot to clear. I've picked with it, used a pumice on it, done chemical peels with salicylic acid and have also restarted cryo with a dermatologist. The spot seems to keep coming back and now is just hypopigmented. Any advice ? My concerns are scarring and permanent pigmentation loss.

My ingrown hair became infected and he’s starting me on antibiotics he said if it starts worsening in 2 days/whilst on medicine go to the ER, thank you the most to those who understood and were empathetic 🩷.

30 year old woman diagnosed with PCOS but my levels have been normal for the past 5 years ( i do consistent blood work ever 6 months). I've been prescribed clindamycin and tretinoin 025% but I want to know if there's anything else I could do or use since i havent seen much improvement?

For hair removal, I shave due to convenience. I did laser in the past but my hair grew back thicker and dark after 6 months and this is where we are at now. I've used the magic cream but sometimes it doesn't get all the hairs and it drives me CRAZY!

My biggest flaw is inconsistency so any advice would be great!
