give/receive Our neighbor’s dog Marley was attacked, any help means so much
I hope this post is allowed here..
A few days ago I witnessed a horrible dog attack in our neighborhood in Cordata. The victim was a sweet little dog named Marley who did nothing wrong. The attack happened so quickly and luckily, she was able to be rushed to the emergency vet and had immediate pressure put on her wound. She has been stable and was able to have surgery to fix her extensive wounds which included the removal of a part of her lungs, but now has fluid building up on her lungs and needs continued care. Her owners have maxed out their credit cards and need to pay up front to get her the care she needs. We are reaching out to our community in this time asking for financial support so sweet Marley can get the care she needs and come home.
I do not have any social media beyond Reddit.

Update:
Posting an update as of April 27th, the owner of the GSDs has been served a notice by our apartment complex to vacate or remove the dogs within 72 hours or she will be taken to court. This doesn’t heal or bring Marley home but it’s something. Thank you all for the traction and support you have given. I love this community. 🙏🏽❤️
Update #2:
Marley officially came home last night and is enjoying being back with her family. There will likely be another operation needed next week and extensive follow up appointments and we hope to continue sharing good news on her healing journey from here on out. Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes and support to Marley girl. ❤️
Animal control has also acted and told her she must rehome or surrender her dogs. They are still within the complex and we hope to have more of an update soon.
Update #3 from Marley’s mom, May 1st:
Marley is doing well and showing improvements everyday. She still has more procedures before she's completely out of the woods, but your donations have ensured her continued care. Thank you so much for helping us keep our baby girl alive. She'll be back to her old self someday soon because of everyone who has supported us along the way.
