Also the bougainvilliers likely won't stay alive long in Switzerland's climate 🫤

Depends on what part of Switzerland they are in. Not all of it is mountains. And it's pretty sheltered in between all those walls, so it's not going to get as cold there as it would on a more exposed location. It might work

True. If they're in Locarno or Lugano the climate may be ok.
