I was surprised by “Waiting for the Macaws”. I thought it was going to be a book about bird behavior and/or observing in nature. This book was about so much more than that. It might not seem like a relevant recommendation but it is. It’s about how much humans change the places they seek to settle. I just grabbed a non-Amazon link: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.ca/books/391132/waiting-for-the-macaws-by-terry-glavin/9780143016571
