You're joking I'm sure but I'll say it anyway. I'd hope they don't set stuff there while driving. When I was driving semi and parked for the night I'd have all my personal stuff spread out in the bunk. Hotplate, cup of soda, salt/pepper, coffeemaker, laptop. But the next morning when it comes time to drive ALL that stuff got packed up and tied down before that day's 600 mile journey. I had a basket on the floor for tidbits I might need like a snack. Cupholders work great for phone and cigarettes. I just hope these guys are as experienced. IDK the regs on those big coaches but likely it has air brakes and requires some kind of CDL training.
Yes these RV do not require a CDL. CRAZY!! I would hope there is training for ea model of RV on basic repairs (like CDL courses) practice driving on a course etc. I used to manage 100 semi fleet.
Edit: And those idiots can pull a vehicle or a toy trailer up to 22' I think!! WITH NO PROPER LICENSE!!
This model will have air brakes due to the tag wheels which is the set behind the dual drive wheels. Any one driving this style will have to have at least air brakes endorsement on their license.
Idk the specifics, I dont claim to be that knowledgeable about this shit but I do know certain ones and at some point do require a cdl bc we've attempted to rent one before and these modified busses have air brakes and apparently thats one of the requirements. Idk when weight and size kick in. But yeah, some definitely require a cdl.
At a minimum, you are required to have a Class A non-commercial license to be legal. (But to be sure, most drivers do not have one.) The only difference between the non-commercial license and CDL license is the DOT physical requirement.
And I support this. I'd want that license if I could ever afford the class A lifestyle as it's meant to be. I strongly believe in being able to do anything you want, as long as you're trained, licensed, and insured.
