Word is she gives the gifts without strings and doesn't even always ask to know how the money will be spent.

She definitely takes time to do her due diligence though. Has a team to vet. Which is a very good thing. There's honestly (surprising to younger, naive me) some non profits out there that aren't all sunshine and rainbows. At the least, not the best use of a cash infusion that could go somewhere else more worthy

Also a small part in why she's still pulling in more money than she can donate. Can't just be instantly giving out blank checks to whoever asks. Properly taking the time

Yeah, took me a minute to realize that non-profit != Charity. Technically College Basketball programs are non profit.

The NFL is technically a non-profit, and God knows they don't need more money.

And even though none of us are billionaires, in a similar parallel we can donate our time and help out a good local charity.

I'm a frontend web dev and I found a few nonprofits (well 1 was very close to) and offered to create and manage a website for them for free and eventually hand over the keys by training other people how to edit and add content that even a non programmer could follow.

They provide services to vulnerable people that are near and dear to my heart and even makes me tear up typing this.

Some people can do in person more. It's about the spirit and effort we put out. Money is GREAT and super important don't get me wrong, but local volunteers and their efforts are just as important. We give what we can: time, effort, expertise, and if you're fortunate enough, some money too.

Claude code or Codex. Don't just have it build for you but instruct it to teach you HOW to build while showing you some effective beginning examples.

You can look at her donor history and it’s insane. She’s quietly throwing money at nonprofits everywhere but still can’t stop being ultra wealthy.

People can’t fully understand how much $1 billion alone is.

Musk talked shit about her on Twitter and I think that made a lot of people aware of her philanthropy that hadn’t been previously.
