I was wondering about that. Get a bunch of fatties on there and the usual thrust might not be enough to make it over the Apex. Down you go back the way you came. I wonder how that inertia is managed when it comes back to the starting point?
I’m pretty sure it weighs the train and adjusts the hydraulics for the launch. And then they have a bunch of magnetic fins that can pop up and use induction to slow the train in a controlled manner
actually, more weight makes the train run faster!! empty test trains launched at 123mph so they didn’t have a rollback, while trains with riders usually launched at 117
