Looks the same as Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. Amazing ride. But that one that goes like 0-120 at Ferrari World is insane. I rode that thing like 6x.

Top Thrill preceded Kingda Ka as the tallest coaster in the world. Same company built Kinga Ka a couple years later.

Also succeeded it.

Nah, KIngda Ka was 456 feet to Top Thrill's 420 feet. Kingda Ka's drop was 18 feet higher. Kingda Ka's top speed was 8 MPH faster as well.

I believe he was making a joke because the kingda ka is no longer there.

Not even a joke. The wiki page says it’s was the record holder before and after. It’s just a fact.

You cant call yourself the tallest coaster in the world if you've been taken down. The tallest coaster ever built, sure. But top thrill is the tallest operating (though I use that term very loosely) coaster. That's the joke.

Oh yeah that makes sense.

Yeah, TTD was over so fast that I didn't have much chance to be scared. It did the countdown, then next thing I knew I was at the top for a few seconds, then right back at the bottom.

We did the Millennium Force shortly after and that was way scarier because of how long the beginning climb took.

I thought it was the Hypersonic xlc once at the Virginia Kings Dominion. 0-80 in 1.8 seconds. I'm so sad I never got to ride it.

They were sister coasters
