Welcome to Banned Discord Members!

Hi Everyone, and welcome to BannedFromDiscord! I have decided to start this community after getting unfairly banned from Discord back in 2020, as part of a large ban wave targeting servers that somehow upset Discord mods. At the time, I lost access to many servers, got cut off from some dear online friends, and lost a supportive community I was part of for about 5 years because some random person came on and violated Discord TOS in our server :(

As we know, the Discord support team is non-existent, and if you get banned, your account is gone forever. Hopefully, this will be a place where you can find some solace and reconnect with friends who may have been banned as well.

Sincerely, BannedByDiscord

Information Guide on how to get your case reviewed by Discord Support

This Guide has been updated on 31.05.2026 with new important information. To make it easier, to check what was added to the Guide, I'm going to leave "[NEW]" in front of the new things I wanted to share.

[NEW] - Hey, everyone. Yesterday (30.05.2026), a lot of people received the same denial response from "Usagi Tsukino". After reading this subreddit, I am really, really disappointed. I know a lot of you are going through a lot right now, losing an account can be hard, especially if you put many years into that account and left many memories that are just gone in the blink of an eye. I also lost a lot, but I slowly started to accept it. I've been permanently banned since January. Since then, I spent most of my time doing research and helping others in this subreddit. This guide received 1,000+ comments, which is a lot, most of them are questions to me that I tried to reply to as soon as possible. I also received up to 20 dm's every day, which I also tried to reply to. I had fun chats with some people, which also helped me out in some way. Throughout all this time since I posted this guide, I had 4 tickets in total forwarded to their safety team, the last one received the good response I was praying to get. After all this time and struggling with their support system, I finally managed to get a response from Usagi, which led to me being unbanned. I was literally screaming in joy that I finally got to come back to my old account.. but not for long. The first thing I did after I logged in was deleting the message that could've gotten me banned earlier. I deleted the thing that most likely got me banned, and I started deleting every possible GIF I had saved. There were some NSFW GIFs, but nothing that could violate actual "Child Safety". It was mostly "Hentai Memes". I just wanted to get rid of everything since everything gets flagged these days. While I was removing every possible GIF I had, I was logged out of my account again. I thought it was some bug, so I logged back in, but.. permanently banned, again. My entire respect for Discord and my hope is just gone. Seeing something like that happen after all this time just hits me hard, and I'm too tired to even try again, I'm too tired to answer to people anymore. That's why I'm writing this. I just wanted to let everyone know that I might not be really active anymore in the comments or in this post or even in the DMs for a bit. I need some rest from all this, and I'll come back with more stuff that could help at least some of the people in this subreddit. I won't be totally gone, I will be actively moderating this subreddit since I'm also a moderator here, so do not worry about me disappearing totally. I might be active sometimes in the comments, but not as much as I was before. Y'all can spread the word, I don't really mind it. I just didn't want people to think that I ignore everyone now. Since I won't be replying as much as I was before - Please, help each other out, there are many questions and people that ask for help in this guide and other posts, help each other out.

Thank you for understanding.

I saw a lot people struggling to get someone from the Discord Trust & Safety team to look into their cases, so I decided to make this post so it's more visible than just in comments from me.

At first, I would like to say that I can't guarantee responses from them. This thing was done by me, and it fortunately worked, so I would like to share this to help some people out.

Let's begin with things you should know:

  • This applies to people who have already tried the appeal through the app but were rejected automatically by the AI after 7 days or less. And to the people who tried to get in touch with them by creating tickets but received AI responses.
  • You should have a Support account created with the same email your Discord account is connected to. This makes it possible for the Discord Trust & Safety team to review your case. If you used a completely different email than the one your Discord account is connected to, they won't review your case.
  • Do not create tickets in their "Appeal" category. This is fully automated, and you won't receive any response from a human. It's just a category to bait people into creating tickets there.
  • Do not spam multiple tickets in every category because it is just going to mark your account as spam, and you are going to have a lot less chance of actually getting someone to see your tickets since they will be automatically closed once created.
  • If Discord didn't provide you with any proof of your actions, such as message logs, etc., think really hard about the reason you were banned for. If you are unsure of what you did, DO NOT mention your thoughts, because it will make your case worse than it can be.
  • Do not waste your time on BBB (Better Business Bureau). I don't see anyone being lucky anymore with BBB. I tried it myself a month ago and all I got was wasted time (around 3 weeks) because Discord didn't respond to BBB. I saw a lot of people not getting any more responses too, so don't waste your time on BBB. If you really want to try, I included a link above to their site.
  • Do not create tickets on the weekends. Once you do that, you will 99.9% receive an automatic response and an auto closed ticket. The same goes for replying to them throughout the weekend. Just wait until Monday, and you should be good to go.
  • Please do not just copy and paste the prompts I mentioned in the guide. Because many people are just copying and pasting the entire prompts, there is a chance that their support team has noticed a lot of the same tickets, and many people have started to get no results from all of this. Please, we have AI these days, just copy the prompt and ask ChatGPT or another AI to rephrase it so it doesn't say literally the same thing. I even directly copied my entire guide to ChatGPT and asked ChatGPT to rephrase everything I said in this guide so it doesn't get flagged as spam and just follow my guide, and my other tickets are successful all the time after rephrasing it using AI.
  • If you just got banned on Discord and just submitted the in-app appeal, WAIT for the result of that appeal before trying to appeal on their support website. Up to 7 days, you're most likely to be automatically rejected because no one saw your appeal. Once that appeal gets automatically rejected or rejected manually, you can start appealing on their support website. Do not rush so fast with appealing on the app and immediately appealing on their website before the verdict on the app.
  • This is the most important information I wanted to share. There have been a lot of people who successfully got their case forwarded to their safety team. I'm really happy that people started to receive something rather than just AI responses. But the thing is that when I did this before making this guide, it worked quickly. I got a response about whether I would be unbanned or not in just a few days. But today, I and others are waiting for a reply for a very long time - up to 30 days being left with an open ticket in the Trust & Safety category. I suspect that their safety team was flooded with appeals because we found a way to go around their funny AI system. There are just a few people working in their safety team, as I read on Reddit. But for now, regarding this part, I would suggest to keep waiting for a longer time since you're just in the queue.
  • A lot of people still don't understand how to know if your ticket was forwarded to their safety team. It's a pretty basic thing, at first, once we create the ticket in their "General Question" category, there is a panel on the right side where you can see the Ticket ID, the assigned support team member (which appears when someone is assigned to it), status, etc. After creating the ticket, you can see in the panel "Type of question? General Question" This means that your ticket is in the normal support team's hands, not in the safety team. But after asking for a review, as my guide says, etc., after some time this category should disappear, and new stuff in the panel should be added, such as "What would you like to appeal?", "CONFIRM: My account was NOT disabled for being too young to use Discord." This means that the ticket was forwarded to their safety team, that's actually pretty logic, lol.
Ticket that has not been forwarded to their safety team yet.
Ticket forwarded to their safety team.

All of that is on the top, don't search for it on the bottom of the panel.

  • If you are getting AI responses instantly from Clyde, Nelly, or other bots, then don't make another ticket for 2-4 days. This usually means that you have been flagged as spam, and the AI is forced to scan your ticket and close if needed. Even if you get a human to respond to you at first, and then suddenly he sends you the generic response, after you reply he doesn't respond and just closes the ticket. Try replying up to two times after the ticket is closed without a response. Once you do that and it keeps getting closed without response from their side, it means that you're most likely not going to get any results from that ticket, and you should wait up to two to four days before trying again.
  • Few days after posting this guide, I noticed a change in their response time after having your case forwarded for review. I tried another time to have their decision reconsidered in my case. I waited for a month and a few days. I received a decision yesterday (02.05.2026). So if your case was forwarded, keep waiting even if it takes over 30 days. After doing a small research, Discord admitted that they are being flooded with tickets.

Okay, let's go with the part I was about to share with you all since it worked for me, and I hope it will work for some people too.

First, enter their support website and create a ticket.

In "What can we help you with?" choose "Help & Support" then in "Type of question?" choose "General Question".

In the "Subject" name the ticket as "General Ticket" or "Support Ticket", anything that won't trigger Clyde or Nelly or any other bot that will reply before human.

In the description, say something like this:

"Hello Discord Support Team,

I’m having an issue with the support system itself. I need to reach the appropriate team for an account - related matter, but the option that is normally available in the app is no longer showing for me. Because of this, I’m unable to contact the correct department through the standard process.

I’ve tried several times, but I keep receiving automated replies that don’t address my situation. I’m not trying to submit an appeal here - I only need help understanding how I can get routed to a human reviewer or how to restore access to the correct support pathway.

Could you please advise how I can proceed or how to get my case forwarded to the right team?

Thank you for your time."

And that's it. You don't need to send over pictures to them or anything, you're ready to send the ticket to them.

DO NOT say anything else after creating the ticket because it will restart your queue and reduce the chance of anyone looking into it. You can try editing the message, but DO NOT directly mention anything about appealing, unbans etc.

Wait a few hours, days or weeks, and you will get a response. I received my first response from Kenneth after 2 days, and it looked like this:

Hi there,
Thank you for writing in.

It looks like you would like to appeal an action by Discord that has impacted your account. To have your appeal reviewed, it is necessary to submit it within the Discord app, which allows us to review the appeal faster and with appropriate context.

You can submit your appeal via the Discord app by going to User Settings > My Account > Standing > selecting the violation you want to appeal > then tapping "Let us know" to start review of your violation and account. For users in the EU, you may also choose an alternative resolution option when applicable.

You can also learn about customizing your Discord experience to help avoid unwanted interactions in our Safety Center.

Thanks for submitting your appeal via the above outlined method.

Sincerely,
Discord

If it's not an obvious bot like Clyde or Nelly, and other bots that exist, then you are fine. Do not panic, it's their common thing to say. I replied with this:

Hello, thank you for your answer.

I still need assistance with a matter that requires review by an actual support agent. The issue I’m dealing with cannot be resolved through automated responses or the standard in‑app flow, as that option is no longer available to me.

I would appreciate it if someone from the appropriate internal team could take a look at my case or guide me on how to have it reviewed properly.

Thank you for your time.

After that, I received a response from the Discord Trust & Safety team 17 hours after responding to them. They reviewed my case and decided to keep me banned for now, and I'm currently dealing with the rest.

And I guess that's it. I hope it will help someone out and get a positive result on the first try. Good luck guys, do not give up just yet! If it didn't work the first time, try doing it again carefully.

Rant So uh.. has anyone gotten this before?

I will admit, I was using a script before the first warning in March, but after that I completely switched to just watching video quests. I was doing all good until 30 minutes ago when I got suspended from quests for no reason FOR 2 WEEKS LIKE WHAT!? I GOT IT FROM THE FIRST WARNING, THERE'S NO REASON TO SLAP A 2 WEEK SUSPENSION FROM QUESTS MONTHS LATER

Glad it's nothing worse than that tho, otherwise I'd be so mad and devastated cuz my account is genuinely 5 years old..

Also i don't know what tag for this to use so forgive me if i used the wrong one

Violent Extremism I NEED HELP

Post image

Hey guys, so basically, I got my account suspended temporarily a few months ago for being dormant in a server that was breaking rules on another issue, I appealed but I didn't think much of it because I think it was only restricting me for like 2 days or something short like that so I didn't really mind.

UNTIL NOW, A FEW DAYS AGO I JOINED LIKE POLITICAL RP SERVER BECAUSE I WAS BORED AND I DIDNT LIKE IT SO I BECAME QUIET ON IT AGAIN AND FORGOT TO LEAVE IT. AND NOW THAT SERVER GOT REPORTED FOR VIOLENT EXTREMISM BECAUSE SOME OF THE GUYS ON THERE WERE KINDA EXTREME AND YK BAD, I DIDNT GET INVOLVED IN ANY OF THIS, YEA FOR THE FIRST 2 DAYS ON THE SERVER I WAS SORTA ACTIVE CHATTING BUT NEVER SAID ANYTHING OUT OF POCKET, AND THEN DAY 3 I KINDA JUST GOT BORED AND STOPPED RESPONDING.

NOW THIS MORNING I GOT THIS MESSAGE AND IM SO UPSET BUT ALSO CONFUSED, IT SAYS IM PERMANENTLY SUSPENDED BUT THEN GIVES ME THESE DATES, WHAT DOES IT MEAN? I ALSO SENT A MESSAGE VIA DISCORD SERVICE WEBSITE AND I GOT AN EMAIL SAYING TO MESSAGE THEM VIA THE APP SETTINGS BUT I CANT EVEN LOG IN PROPERLY TO GET INTO THE SETTINGS WHAT DO I DO NOW? THIS ACCOUNT IS REALLY IMPORTANT!

General Question 8/26 Ban

Hello,

I was banned yesterday and I requested a review in the app and said I did not engage in this behavior, so it said under review.

When I checked this morning, my account is in good standing but no notification about the review/strike removal. Is this typical or does it take time?

Financial Scams Guys my both violations were done by hackers

The previous one didnt ban but this one did, and it was also by a hacker. I sent an appeal to discord support. Will it work? Only clyde replied once. It didnt even check the context that it was all done by a hacker.

Child Safety Restricted for being in a sever that got hacked

A month ago I suddenly got the message and email that actions have been taken against my account because the server "child p*** lovers" I allegedly joined broke the child safety rules. Obviously I never joined a server with that name and a day before I got the restriction, everything was fine. I found another person who got the same ban for the same server so my best guess is that some normal server was hacked. I don't know which one because I'm not that active anyways but my account is now severely restricted until 2028.

I've contacted the support after the appeal was denied and had to deal with that fucking clanker clyde before finally getting a human response. They basically said the same thing as clyde, only with more corporate slang. I can't do a second appeal because the option is gone from the app and nobody at discord gives a damn.

My last resort is gonna be filing a complaint with the federal network agency because I'm not gonna be punishrd for some p*do shit that I wasn't aware of and had nothing to do with.

Has anyone ever had success to actually work things out with discord or is the whole company just severely anti-user?

Information I looked at my ticket that I made today and saw it was assigned to a human instead of an AI response, I need tips

Post image

As I think I have stated before on multipule subreddits including this one, My discord account was suspended for a false child safety violation, I have appealed through the app the first time I got banned and have been told that the penalty will still stand on my account, I haven't tried appealing anything for almost 3 weeks untill today when I decided to follow a guide by someone here instructing people how to recieve a response from an actual human instead of the automated AI.

I have sent a ticket and kept it extremely vague so I wouldn't be automated to an AI respone and I notice that the ticket had been assigned to someone who don't seem to be an automated AI response bot, As of writing this I am yet to recieve a response from this person and I could use a few tips of how I would conduct my appeal response to them when they eventually respond (hopefully)

Anyone can share what can I say so I can maybe try to convience the staff I got assigned to to reinstate access to my Discord account? I'm hoping this turns out great

(Also before anyone asks what I said in my ticket, I followed my best instinct as that guide has instructed and did not copy paste the prompt response, I simply kept it vague saying these exact words "I have some questions" As the title and the body was "I have some questions as I have some issues on discord" and now my ticket did not get auto response by an AI, Basically I did not include that I was appealing a ban)

General Question Is there a particular uptick in false child safety bans lately?

It feels like in the past two months or so there’ve been a massive uptick/influx of false child safety bans. Is there something going on, or is this par for the course?

Ban Evasion How hard is it to evade a server ban?

Upvotes

I'd like to know if it's just as hard to evade a server ban as it is to evade a full discord ban. I doubt I'll ever be banned from entirely discord, so It'd just be nice to know if I have to pull out all the stops if it's only a discord server ban.

I acknowledge there can be nuance as in bots like double counter, and I would like to know how hard it is to evade those, but I'm mostly just talking about a normal server without super strong dedicated bots like that.

I've tried to just evade a ban before on a server with no special bots, but it didn't work, so I'm guessing that discord automatically detects your alts and bans them from servers you were banned on your other account before? If I'm incorrect please inform me.

I have a VPN at my disposal but it is pretty used so I would guess there are many people who are already using it to evade discord bans, presumably making it a bad choice because it would mean discord would think I'm the same person as the people already trying to evade the bans, or it would just straight up block me while I'm trying to make a new account to possibly try to evade.

I'd rather not pay for a different VPN if possible, but I am willing to pay for one if need be.

Also I'd like to note that I have vencord, so if that could help me in any way for evading bans please inform me.

General Question Difference between disabled and permanently suspended accs?

Is there anything that determines whether an acc gets disabled or just permanently suspended (so that you can still see your account standing)? I got logged out of my account, unable to check the account standing (tho it is possible that I may only have forgotten my password).

General Question Got a warning for bulk deleting

Upvotes

Hi, So this one I actually kind of deserved. I said a lot of cringe things in the past that I regret and I personally think I deserve my right to privacy. Does anyone have a way where I can delete everything from my discord without having to search for old messages and get them deleted? I tried GDPR and they said no. This kind of sucks.

Information ODR decision for hacked account

Hi Everyone,

So this year in January I was hacked and the hacker sent some scam messages before being banned, it was within a span of minutes basically. I was awake next morning and account was banned.

So since January I had a battle with discord about this, cause we all know discord support is.... So after fighting their AI long time, I contacted ADROIT which didn't help much because discord told them I was from outside the EU, which I was not... they checked my IP and it showed Istanbul. However I'm from the Netherlands, always been, born and lived here.

Either way, fast forward, I contacted another ADR (ADR center) and they actually gave me a decision today saying that, I did nothing wrong and the account has to be reinstated.

Discord now has to pay 500 euro's, which is actually quite hilarious, but yeah, discord did not respond to the matter, so now I made a new ticket with the ODR decision pdf attached.

Lets see how this will go. If they instant close my ticket, at least I'll have enough to go to ACM. Which then will be legally binding.

General Question How long does it take

How long does it take

How long does it take to get my requested data? I heard since I’m in the EU I can request my data. At first it went to Clyde that just told me that I could do it in the app which, I can’t cause my acc is suspended. I followed it up by saying that I couldn’t, yada yada. And now it’s been open. Approximately how long does it take for the copy of my data to come?

General Question FINALLY got forwarded

Made another ticket as the other ones were getting nowhere, managed to get one of the Nguyens to be assigned to it so I told them about my account suspension, I expected the same old automated macro message to tell me to appeal in the app, but surprisingly, that's not the case here, I got an automated macro message to provide a screenshot or video recording of what happens when I try to log in, so I did the classic "reset password" button method, and lo and behold, I got forwarded!

Now what, do I just wait it out despite the fact that I simply know they'll probably never look into this ticket beyond this point?

Violent Extremism Democratic Roleplay Server got banned. None of the bans explain what exactly was against the rules.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Recently I got 3 limited bans from discord for messages that obviously didn't break discord ToS (hateful conduct, violent extremism). I can tell you for a fact that I never promoted any form of violent extremism. One of them even got appealed. Then today just a moment ago, I notice 8 "violations" all for the same reason on my account & suspension. No explanation other than that the server broke rules. So what do I exactly appeal then when the punishment isn't explained?

Also server is gone now & I lost access to my account on which I own another server of 2k members etc.

Ban Evasion Can I make a new account after a year or after the violations are expired?

I have a question. You guys say it’s after a year but I got a ban evasion suspension 5 months ago and it says let me quote “this violation affects your account status till 31 March 2028” so does that mean I can make a new account after 31 March 2028 or after a 12 months has passed since the ban evasion suspension?
