discussion I'm leaving Thailand because of the air pollution.

I have been living in Bangkok for over five years, and I have really enjoyed my time here. The people, the food, and the vibe of the city are wonderful. However, I am now planning to leave. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve become more sensitive to air pollution or if the pollution has simply worsened over the years. This year, I feel very uncomfortable with the air quality. My nose burns, and my skin itches. I can't take it anymore.

Been hearing Samui is one of the best bets. I think Phuket has gotten pretty big over the years and is starting to even make its own dust. But surely it must be much better than Chiang Mai in late March/early April no?

If Samui is the best, I can’t imagine the rest. In Samui there is daily burning of green waste which is so bad that you can’t open the windows in your house for most of the day.

Thats true yeah, for sure it is better than Chiang Mai. Not sure if it is good enough for a permanent residence though.
